GAS March 2014: GAS-313-315

This week I took the second step in my movie-acquiring project: I actually watched a couple. Actually, I had seen Wakamatsu's Go, Go Second Time Virgin at the beginning of this project, back in October 2013, and I recommend that film highly, and intend to watch it again sometime. My second Pink film-viewing of this crop of films was Takahisa Zeze's Anarchy in Japan-Suke (1999), which I also give a very high rating. Both these films are unusually thoughtful, stylish and enjoyable for the Pink genre. With a yearly output of over 100 over the past 50 years, if only ten percent of them are worth watching-- as the annual Top Ten awards of the Pink Film Award would indicate-- that's still 500 decent Pink films out there to be sought out. Some time this year I hope to start using these files as a basis for adding storylines or reviews to IMDb. My basic IMDb submissions have continued to be fairly slow this week. I'm into March 1997 with the submissions, and April in the translations.

But for this blog tonight let's take a look at Cinema Unit GAS' newly-announced releases for March 1, 2014.

GAS-313

First off is the exciting news that gorgeous new MILF model, Misuzu Tomizawa, has joined the GAS stable. In our Christmas post we made note of her debut in OBA-091, and then on New Years Eve, her second and third appearances (MAMA-378 and OBA-098). I haven't checked to see if she's made any more DVDs between then and now, but here we see her in Deka-bra jukujo: Tomizawa Misuzu: Tomodachi no okasan wa L-cup! ("Huge-bra MILF, Misuzu Tomizawa: My friend's mother is an L-cup!"; GAS-313).

The next video, Tori oroshi special: Shitsukoi self-chikubi name to paizuri (GAS-314), is a compilation video featuring self-nipple-licking scenes from several actresses, including Shiori Tsukada, Yu Sakura, Reno Momoi, Mei Shinoda, Mio Sakuragi, Mina Katase, and Amateur Yumiko.

The last of this month's three new releases is the ominously-titled Minami Jun best 4-jikan ("Jun Minami: Best 4 hours"; GAS-315). I hope this review of Jun Minami's career is just an appreciation of this lovely, plump lady, and not an announcement of her retirement. Based on tradition, however, I fear it may mean she has retired. If this turns out to be the case, we will have to make my own review of her career later on.

Sexual Game: Kimiko Matsuzaka- DVI-027D (1/2)

Tonight let's take a look at a video I acquired through grabbing streamed videos-- a technique new to me. I got this video from an Xhamster link entitled Kimiko Matsuzaka full movie. That's a misleading title, since it is, in fact, only half the movie, and the movie isn't a movie, but a video. It does, however, feature early big-boob AV legend, Kimiko Matsuzaka.

The Video

The video cover (as well as conventions of the time) show that the full video is 60 minutes, while this video is only thirty minutes. But Kimiko, besides being a major early big-boob star, is a true beauty. so let's go ahead and look at this example of classic big-boob erotica even if we only have half of it to review.

Given the English-language title Sexual Game (セクシャルゲーム; DVI-027D), it was released on October 1, 1990, and was was apparently Kimiko's last video. It was directed by veteran Pink film actor/writer/director Daikei Shimizu and co-stars Saori Miyuki, and Kaoru Kuroki, who was the first break-through AV star. Diamond Visual, her studio, had been releasing Kimiko's videos on the first day of each month since her debut in February 1989. They named this day, "Big Boob Day" (巨乳の日 - kyonyû no hi). So what we are looking at here is the last "Big Boob Day".

The Content (Warning: Spoilers!)

The clip starts with a view of Kimiko's beautiful, white, tattooed body from the rear, tied to a post in a bedroom. The video's title then appears, by which I surmise we are looking at the first half of the video.

A nerdish guy, trying to act like a yakuza comes on the scene, praising Kimiko's body, He unties her from the post and proceeds to start barking out orders, and have his way with her. I notice from the video cover that AV legend, and Kimiko's discoverer/director Tôru Muranishi is listed in the cast, so it's possible the guy is the maestro himself. Also, you will note from the image above, that we do get a quick, unfogged look at Kimiko's big, hairy bush.

He begins by licking her nipples into splendid erection, and then he forces her to fellate him. This is where the advantage to fogging shows itself: Shots of the truly beautiful Kimiko alternate with unattractively hardcore shots of fellatio. We get long looks at his unattractive dick, and only that one fleeting glimpse of Kimiko's pretty pussy.

After about 10 minutes, he takes her in standing doggy-style. Throughout the sex scenes, he continues bossing Kimiko around, mostly ordering her to look at him.

Next, they get in bed, with Kimiko on top-- this is the most satisfying part of the video clip. We can see Kimiko's full body, and there is a good deal of excellent boob-bouncing to be enjoyed here. Rather than the submissive role she has in the rest of the sex, here she takes control of the situation, and shows herself to be a pretty enthusiastic performer at that.

The clip, and presumably the first half of the video, ends with the man's climax in a missionary position. Since only Kimiko has been seen in the entire half hour, I would guess that this is the extent of the section featuring her alone. Neither of the other two AV idols mentioned on the video cover are busty-- Kaoru  Kuroki, in fact, was flat-chested, but known for her manic S&M performances and the intelligence and wit with which she spoke for the then-new AV medium on TV talk-shows.

The Opinion

As with most early AVs, this is like a Pink movie, except that the sex is real. Coming from 1990, this one has a lot more sex than the earlier AVs did. It's kind of a hybrid between current sex-only AVs and a Pink film. Basically nothing but one long sex scene, there is some real acting, at the start, and dialogue throughout. Apparently this was written out and learned by the actor.

Also, very surprisingly, this video shows genitals. The one advantage the AV had over Pink film in those days was that the sex was real ("honban"), even if it was fogged, so the viewer couldn't really see it. Showing the genitals was absolutely taboo in Japanese videos of the time. I suspect this un-fogged recording comes either from a release outside of Japan, or from an underground copy. I've also heard rumors of a digital technique by which a fogged video can be un-fogged. This could also be an example of that process. Unfortunately-- and this is the reason I prefer Japanese fogging-- along with the display of Kimiko's pretty bush, comes the very unappealing sight of the man's genitalia. I, for one, can do without that interfering with my enjoyment of this beautiful lady. This is what ruined American sex films for me in the early '70s-- hardcore, and the resulting change of focus from the woman to the man.

Final Verdict

Model: Highest ratings. Kimiko Matsuzaka was a movie-star level beauty combined with a figure of unprecedented voluptuousness in Japanese erotic entertainment of the time. She also had charisma, and could have probably gone on to a Pink film (she made one) and mainstream career. Her early retirement was a real, serious blow to the AV industry, but her popularity set in motion the acceptance of busty and BBW models in Japanese erotic entertainment which we enjoy today.

Video: High rating. Professionally done, with interesting camerawork, never distracting, and giving us plenty of views of Kimiko's pulchritude. A slight bit of story and dialogue give some context to the sex-- a couple engaging in yakuza role-play, I assume. My only complaint is the hardcore nature of this copy I have. It is really hardcore, in that we see un-fogged genitalia, but, except for one brief glimpse of Kimiko's bush, we only see the very unattractive male genitalia. Who wants that?!

BBW Confusion

My IMDb work has been pretty slow this week. I've finished translating through February 1997, and submitted a few films. My major breakthrough this weekend was in figuring out how to save Youtube-like video, which gave me a few more full videos to view and review, and lots of clips. You may all find it amusing that I just figured out how to do this, but remember, I'm an old guy, and was working on a Windows 98 system until little over a year ago. In fact I'd still be on that system if Blogger hadn't updated their system... speaking of which, a year into using that new system, and I STILL think it's garbage. There are LOTS of things I could do with images and formatting in the old system that I can't do with this dumbed-down graphic interface... but I ranted about that plenty back then...

Tonight we look in on lovely, lovely Kiyomi Suzumoto whom we first met in a post of August 5, 2013 announcing her DVD, JUFD-307, and in another post later the same month announcing JUFD-315, in which she was paired with Shizuko Fujiki.

These images are from an upcoming GYUKAN release, but no video code has been attached to it. It should be the fourth in the series, and therefore GYU-004, since the last was GYU-003, starring Erisa Natsume. Since Erisa and Kiyomi bear some resemblance to each other, and since they haven't been identifying these images as anything other than "GYUKAN", it's been causing me some confusion. In fact I may have accidentally posted some images of Kiyomi and called her Erisa...

...and to make matters even more confusing, the same blogs are posting new images of Erisa Natsume, promoting not only GYU-003, but also, apparently, a DVD ROM, with a code of "CHO-01" on the cover, yet the image saves as "CHO-16".

...and THEN, to make matters even worse... in the same blogs, we're getting images of an unidentified model in a DEKAJIRI release, such as the one above... who could easily be Erisa... or is it Kiyomi?... or is it someone else?... and is this in an upcoming DEKA-007 release, or one of the previous six? I don't know... it hasn't been announced... But, until we get the answers, we can just relax and enjoy the lovely scenery!

Yôko Koizumi, The Embrace of Motherly Love: MR-154

Tonight we take a look at a little rarity I came across in my Web explorations which stars Japanese BBW legend Yôko Koizumi. I've been aware of most of these videos I review ever since they were first release and have seen their video covers and screen shots or stills. But I only became aware of tonight's video once I viewed the video itself. The producer of the video-- Moon Right Studio-- is still in operation, but does not list the video at its site. The only cover image I've found of this video looks like a VHS, and the recording is also of VHS-quality.

The title is Debu bijo: Bosei ai no hôyô (デブ美女 母性愛の抱擁; "Fat Beauty: The Embrace of Motherly Love"; MR-154), and it is the thirteenth release in the Kyohô (Debusen) series (巨豊１３（デブ専）). I don't know what the "Debusen" after the series title means, but it's possible it's related to Alpha International's "Debusen Club" videos whose video covers we looked at in July 2012. Yôko Koizumi was in the 17th video in that series, but the images on the cover look similar, but not exactly like this video. For one thing, the male in Kyohô 13 wears glasses, but in FDS-17, he doesn't seem to. Another difference is that the "Debusen Club" spells "Debu" with hiragana (でぶ専クラブ), while Kyohô uses katakana (デブ専). Regardless, I've established a release date of late 1999 for the Debusen Club videos, and Yôko looks about the same age in them as she does in this Kyohô video.

I've known of magnificent Yôko ever since I first got online full-time-- about 1998, but I've had a lot of trouble trying to figure out exactly when she was performing. Since her videos are older releases, the release dates I find for them tend to be later re-issues. And because she was a performer in a then-unpopular genre-- BBW-- I find little information on her at more fan-based sites, like blogs (such as this one, whose main interest seems to be Yôko) or Japanese Wikipedia, which has entries on thousands of AV performers, but not Yôko... She was the main star of Akira Takatsuki's The Bakunyû hôman musume series, which uses the English sub-title "The Bomber Fat Girl" on its covers. The earliest release date I can find for this series is 2005, but it's certainly older than that-- late '90s at least.

Yôko's AV-Channel profile combined with some video information give her statistics as standing 160cm, with measurements of 120(U-85; L-cup)-105-110, and weighs a mere 90 kg (198 lb), which seems low for a woman of her bulk. In the credits to this video, she is said to be 27 years of age.

The Content (Warning: Spoilers!)

This is a compact, 40-minute video with no story, simply a series of scenes. It starts out with a section of about 8 1/2 minutes which is a kind of a montage, alternating clips of Yôko walking through a neighborhood with clips of her sitting up in bed, nude. The nude scenes focus a lot on her stupendous chest, at the expense of showing her whole body-- her head, especially, is usually cut off in these images. But since they are such brief clips, and they alternate with views of the whole lady-- clothed-- walking, I didn't find this gimmick particularly annoying. This section is accompanied by a rather pleasant blues instrumental-- nothing extraordinary, but it gives the whole section a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere.

After some brief dialogue with her male partner, there follows an extended scene of about 20 minutes, during which he kisses, sucks and slobbers all over Ms. Koizumi's abundant body. She oohs and squeals in a most satisfactory manner-- though that could be a voice-double, since it doesn't quite sound like her usual voice.

Images of Koizumi's performances are sometimes surprisingly hardcore for an earlier performer-- unfogged pubic hair and genitalia can sometimes be seen. This might be an indication that her work was "underground", or that I am just wrong in my guess as to when she was performing, and she is more recent, under current, more lax Japanese censorship standards. In any case, we do get some brief flashes of unfogged pubic hair during this scene.

At about 25 minutes, there follows another strangely mixed section of two scenes intercut together. In one part we see in clip-form, Yôko-san begins rubbing her ginormous bosoms on her guy in the shower. This scene is juxtaposed with a scene of her stripping him in bed, and having sex.

The bed scene takes over, and Yôko gives him fellatio. The man's genitals are mercifully fogged here. Straight, but rather mundane and repetitive sex follows.

Once he has finished his job, the ending credits roll as our male stand-in falls asleep in satisfied exhaustion on one of Yôko's big, fluffy natural pillows.

The 40 minute main video finished, we get five additional minutes of previews of other Yôko Koizumi appearances in the Kyohô series. The above clip from Kyohô #8 (MR-128) looks especially intriguing. Big, old flouncy-bouncy Yôko runs and does a dive, giving her viewers the perfect way to use the Slow-motion function of their video player.

The Opinion

This is a basic, no-nonsense little soft-porn-video, no doubt from the earlier days of the artform. It gives us plenty of good looks at the model in bed, and walking around clothed. The nudity and sex are all pretty tame, but stimlating enough. The only unusual feature of this video are the two montage-like segments, with two different things going on at once, intercut into one. Overdone, this could be annoying, since this does not work as a plot device to enhance tension-- as intercutting is used in regular films-- because there is no plot. But it is not used too much, so it makes an interesting break from the monotony that threatens to overtake the more extended sex scenes. Besides the first six minutes, the music in the rest of the video isn't as enjoyable-- peppy, repetitive, bland pop which emphasizes the bland and repetitive nature of the sex scenes.

Final Verdict

Model: Yôko Koizumi is a top-notch model for fans of Asian BBWs. She is very big-- especially for the early days in which she worked. She is almost too big and flabby for my taste, and a prominent caesarian scar does her no favors. But she is an enthusiastic and cheerful performer, which gives her a warm, motherly character adding to her physical charms.

Video: High. Solidly and professionally made, without distracting camera tricks. It does nothing but the display of the model's anatomy-- which is plenty, and is appreciated-- but it also lacks anything extra that would make it of highest quality. Check out this little video if you've got a craving to look at a really big Asian girl in action, but not if you want anything more than just that.

Plump Idoll series

I finished my 2013 IMDB Pink film entry project this morning. This week I also spent a lot of time getting new images from cinepo-- probably my biggest source for Pink film poster images. This is a film poster-selling site, and they have a huge amount of Pink and Roman poster images at their site. For a long time, cinepo has apparently been inactive. A lot of their posters are poor-quality-- lots of glare and folds-- but since I'm trying to put together as complete a collection of Pink-type posters/images as I can, a low-quality image of a film's poster is better than none at all... This weekend I found out what they had been up to during these many months of inactivity: Upgrading their poster images. Much better images, without the glare, folds, pin holes, etc. So, I've spent most of my Pink work time this week doing the same-- replacing my own low-quality poster images with these better ones, and then replacing IMDb's links to those posters in their External Links sections to the films in question.

During this week's 'Net explorations, I came across a new series, "Plump Idoll" [sic], from Marrion Two DVDs, both directed by a person going by the name of "Tuna Ship", are scheduled to launch this series on January 31. The first isPLUMP IDOLL 001: Rin age 19 (MGRO-001).

Both these models are given semi-anonymous first-name only ID's, which is pretty common practice among series trying to pretend their models are amateurs. I wouldn't be surprised though if both these lovely ladies go on to, or are already known as JAV regulars. I will be following this series with interest anyway.

Since this week saw the creation of Fuko's IMDb page, thanks to your humble contributor, for this week's video review, let's take a close look at a DVD starring this icon of Japanese bustiness. Under consideration tonight is All Nude: Fuko (OAE-038, March 2009), which-- not coincidentally-- now also has its own IMDb listing.

This DVD occupies a special place in the heart of the Fuko fan. She had debuted as a gravure model in March 2007, two years before the release of this DVD. She spent her first two years in the public eye making nothing but teasing, non-nude, bikini-clad gravure DVDs, and appearances in Japanese mainstream media to promote them. Needless to say, all her follwers were all blue-balled for some actual nudity. Then, February 2009, she went too far in the other direction. She debuted as a JAV porn actress, making full sex scenes, and souring innocent image for many fans who just wanted to see some nudity. Then, after three pretty run-of-the-mill hardcore JAVs for Muteki, came this video for Air Control. Seemingly, this is just what her longtime fans had wanted ever since her debut two years earlier.

The work under consideration begins with a three-minute preview of Fuko in a field as the camera zooms around her, and images of up-coming nude scenes tease the viewer on. Next she comes into the bathroom to brush her teeth, and primp in front of a mirror. This is followed by Fuko in a slip with cuts to various degrees of slowly progressing boob-exposure. The next section has her in a beaded costume, again, gradually exposing more and more boobage through camera cuts.

At about 17 minutes in, Fuko is outside in a mock wedding-dress inspired outfit, out of which her mammaries proceed to flop out into public view. Amusingly, when images of this scene first leaked to the Web, they caused some panicky rumors that Fuko had married and was therefore leaving the public eye.

All nude, finally

At about 24 minutes into the video, she is in a cabin in a leather outfit and high heels. After about six minutes of this, she's in a nice full-length dress which exposes some cleavage. FINALLY, at about half-way through the video, she lives up to the video's title by suddenly becoming all-nude. Unfortunately, an opportunity for disrobing, teasing, stripping is lost since the nudity is another cutaway. She's clothed, and then, boom, she's nude... Not that nudity is a disappointment, but it could have been anticipated, teased, and built up to.

After this brief session, she is in bed in a negligee which she removes, and then poses nude. First of all, this scene benefits from her actually disrobing. In other words, she finally stops just posing and actually DOES something. Once she's in bed nude, she's back to posing seductively. Here she giives us some of my favorite images in the video so far. Just look above, and imagine having THAT waiting for you to hope into bed!

Too much for one arm

A shower follows. There is no music here, and hearing the actual shower gives a touch of realism, which is a nice change of pace from what has until now been all dreamy posing with nonstop background music. Post-shower we get some very nice views of her standing, first trying in vain to cover that massive bust with one arm, while keeping her crotch hidden with the other hand. Her boobs are just too big to hide, and I find her effort to do so very attractive.

About 52 minutes into the video, she's outside again in a somewhat Balinese-looking garb. For only the second time in the video, she goes all nude in this scene-- with her pubic area hidden from view, of course. A self-jelly-massage follows this section. She starts in a bikini, but becomes fully nude once she's lying in a tub. We even get a brief view of her muff in this section which is nice. She poses nude outside again, and for one, very brief moment she shakes her boobs a little. That brief, shining moment points out the main thing lacking in this video: Movement! Let's see her DO something! Run. Jump. Shake! Bounce!

Next she's back in bed, fairly motionless again, though this is probably my favorite scene. First, we again get to see her actually do something: Take off her top. I've always found a woman disrobing to be very exciting, and I could play this brief bit in slo-mo for my own satisfaction. She then gives us some very beautiful views of her boobs, lying in bed, looking seductive. This brief bit ends the official 70 minutes of the video. The DVD concludes with ten minutes of extra material: outtakes, and on-the-set filming.

The Opinion

JustMeMike's site was one of the few that used to review gravure DVDs. It seems to be down now, but I have his review saved. He gave this DVD his highest rating, due to the long-wanted non-hardcore nudity, but he still complained about Fuko's apparent joylessness in the production. He blamed this on Fuko herself, whom he felt was just going through the motions for a paycheck, and that she was having no fun modeling anymore. I sympathize with the unexpected lack of joy in this DVD, but I have to disagree on whose fault this is. Fuko shows in the outtakes that conclude the video that she's just as cute and giggly as we remember her from the gravure years. But when the camera starts rolling, laughing Fuko suddenly becomes stone-faced. I think that the bland countenance she shows throughout the video is not a reflection of her own mood, but a choice on the director's part. The video tries to give off a cooly erotic, sultry, and artsy look, and I think he wants Fuko to show a cool, smouldering look too. It is partly her fault that she isn't good enough an actress to pull that off. It's just not her character. Apparently trying to look maturely sexy, she just comes off as bored and distant. But I blame the director more, for not realizing he was working against Fuko's natural gifts, and trying to force her to do something she was incapable of.

A joyless display of mamallian magnificence

She moves very little throughout-- and this is no doubt due to the director. The whole thing seems kind of anesthetic and lifeless, and it's not Fuko's fault. She seems to do just what it required of her-- stand fairly motionless and pose. The only motion is the camera floating around and exposing her body, making it just a moving picture book. There is no speaking, and, except for one short section, the whole thing is accompanied by bland pop music. In her gravure years, and even in her less-popular AV years, Fuko's fans enjoyed the cute, girlish enthusiasm she brought to her work. In fact she does flash a few nice, warm smiles, giving us just a brief glimpse of that charming personality that helped to make her popular during her gravure days. But there's really nothing she can do here other than that, since the director just has her stand still.

Final Verdict

Model: If you like big-boobed Asian girls, Fuko's your gal. Supernaturally busty, she is the Golden Standard: Highest rating. (She's sometimes categorized under BBW, and in that category she's pretty low, since she's all boob. No butt, slim legs, average face, kind of a pot-belly. Not really a BBW-admirer's cup of tea at all.)

DVD: High, but not as high as it could have, should have been. The director gives us plenty of good photography, and a good survey of Fuko's landscape, but he seems to have intentionally restricted the bubbly joy which is usually a big part of the enjoyment of a Fuko performance
