Tonight let's take a look at a more recent video release, which I've been promising after reviewing a few videos from a decade or more ago. My selection for tonight's review stars the delectable Usagi Minagi and masked Kaori in the JAMS production, OL hô nikuyoku salon! Kyôryoku bakunyû kyo-onna taggu! Minagi Usagi to Kaori no chichi nure no chichi yoku heaven! (MAGURO-038), which was released January 18, 2013. We first made note of the release of this DVD in a post of January 2013 . I haven't started IMDb entries for the MAGURO series yet, because that series was just starting up about the time I drifted away from full-time Boobpedia editing. Eventually I'll have to start articles at Boobpedia on all the MAGURO releases, then submit that translated information to IMDb.

The Content (Warning: Spoilers!)

Which haircut?

The first scene involves that weird looking little guy I've seen in so many of these BBW videos. I really need to find out these actors' names, I guess, since they are in the videos I've submitted to IMDb. This guy is in the first scene of SND-01, which I reviewed last week, and also has an IMDb listing... Anyway, this lucky bastard is seated at a barber shop/hair salon and notices his two female attendants are particularly chubby and busty, meeting with his approval. Above he is selecting the hair style from a book, but he seems to be distracted.

This is a darkly-lit segment in which she has sex with a guy in bed. The man remains mostly unseen, with the camera tastefully focused squarely on just what we want to see: That big, beautiful girl, Kaori. Kaori is an adequate performer, but not overly athletic or boisterous. This is not what makes her of less interest to me than Usagi-san though: It's that damned mask.

The Opinion

This is an excellent DVD for lovers of big, bouncy, sexy Japanese gals. Director Maguro does a skillful, professional job of keeping the camera always focused on what we want to see. The half-hour to 45-minute scenarios have no storyline, but they have settings to give some context to the sexual goings-on. The men are there, but they never get in the way. All-in-all, this is about a perfect DVD for someone who wants to see two Asian BBWs having some naughty fun.

Usagi-san: A joy from any angle

Usagi Minagi is one of my absolute favorite models. Short, doll-like, incredibly chubby-- without being too much, and with a sexy baby-doll voice. She has the perfect combination of good-girl shyness and reticence, but becomes very turned on and enthusiastic once the sex scenes start. For a fan of Asian BBW's, Usagi is in the absolute top tier.

Kaori: Shaved and masked

Reviewing Kaori's work presents a problem. She has a world-class body, absolutely stunning-- plump, but not fat, enormous, beautiful boobs, thick thighs and a nice butt. She shaves her pussy, which is not something I personally am all that enthusiastic about-- I like a nice, fluffy tuft of hair-- but I know that is popular with a lot of fans. But the main difficulty with Kaori's work is that she's always wearing some kind of a mask. Investigations into this mystery have shown that her face does not live up to the extremely high standard of her body. The old expression in a case like this is, "put a sack over her face," but still, it's quite distracting. We do want to see her face, and that masked Mexican wrestler look is not very erotic... Nevertheless, judging her just on her body and her performances, she is outstanding...

Final Verdict

Models: Usagi Minagi: Absolute highest rating-- cute, chubby and a terrific performer. Kaori: Slightly less than highest-- incredible body, but the mask, and rather dull performances take her down a notch.
DVD: Highest rating. Hits all the marks-- interesting settings, good photography, and never loses sight of the main point of interest: The girls. If you like big Asian girls-- and I do!-- this one is a must! 10 stars out of 10

Hefty Angels series (PAD-prefix)

When I did the review of Usagi Minagi's DVD PAD-016 last month, I looked into the "Hefty Angels" (豊満天使) or "Chubby-Chubby Angels" (ぽちゃぽちゃエンジェル) series of which that was part. This series is obviously related to the Chubby Chubby Heaven series, not only due to title, but because of the same director, label and models. My guess is that this is a re-release of the other series. Information on Japanese pop culture in general-- and JAVs specifically-- tends to evaporate fast, and this series is over ten years old. There are at least sixteen DVDs in the series, though I can only find information on nine of them.

The inaugural release in this series was Dai shitsugen hōman tenshi (大湿原豊満天使　ＶＯＬ．１; PAD-001) starring Hatsune Kamori (神守はつね). Arzon lists its DVD sales date as June 14, 2003, though its 60 minute running time clues us that it was first released much earlier. I would guess the release date of this series to have been late 1990s, and a further possibility is that these DVDs are just a re-release of the earlier VHS Chubby-Chubby Angels series.

The rest of the titles in the series scrap the Dai shitsugen part of the title, and are just known as Hōman tenshi (豊満天使) with volume numbers. They continue the "Pocha-pocha Angel" subtitle. Arzon gives June 14, 2003 as the release date of Volume two (PAD-002), which stars Yayoi Kiyone (清音やよい).

I was unable to track down information or images for the third DVD, but the fourth one stars Kaori Mei (芽衣カオリ). We saw two Kaori Mei DVDs on September 2, 2012 (RP002 and RP003), September 16, 2012 (RP014 and RP015). It's worth noting that the cover of RP014 is nearly the same as this one, further indicating that this series is just be a re-release of the Chubby-Chubby Heaven series.

The star of the fifth entry is An Asakura about whom I have no information. The maker of this DVD is listed as Bee House.

The seventh release, PAD-007 also has Bee House as maker. I can't quite make out the star's name from the cover: Haruka Shima-something.

Saori Shizuma (静間さおり) is the star of PAD-009.

100(G)-90-105cm Minami Yura (みなみ由良) stars in PAD-010.

Above is a VHS cover almost identical to PAD-010 starring Minami Yura listed at Arzon: LPN-02, further indicating multiple re-releasing/re-packaging going on within these series.

The DVD PAD-015 was released January 11, 2005, according to Arzon, and stars Mayu Tsuruki (鶴木まゆ).

And the last known entry in this series is Usagi Minagi's PAD-016 which was reviewed at this blog on August 25, 2013.This is the only release in the series with a big-name star, and this is the DVD which lead us to today's investigation of this series.

Usagi Minagi & 2 Others: PARAT-01232 / PTV-1120

I think I skipped last week's video review, but tonight I'll take time out to look in depth at another video... Our star actress tonight is the incredibly lovely Usagi Minagi, supported this time by Haruna Ayano and an "Anzu" whom I think I've seen before, but whose last name I can't track down... We took a preview look at this 115-minute video in my post of August 18. It was released in January 2009, and its title is Niku-darake! Mega buta rape: Kanchigai debu onna ni nakadashi (PARAT-01232 or PTV-1120). It was produced by Paradise TV, which has a homepage for the video.

The first twenty minutes of the video is the set-up to the situation. Haruna is approached on her own, and Usagi and Anzu are approached together by a man claiming to represent "Super Beauty Water". He lures the girls to his place where he videotapes them drinking the water, and we learn their statistics:

After a little chit-chat, the sweet-talking interviewer suddenly becomes aggressive, and demands 300,000 yen (about $3,000) from each of the girl. When they fail to cough up the dough, he puts leashes on them and leads them to jail cells. This section is awfully talky-- we hear the guy pattering on incessantly, and he quickly becomes very annoying. It is nice to see the three chubby girls in clothes (for a change), and Usagi-san is her usual entrancing self, with that baby-like voice of hers. However, for the BBW-admirer in a hurry for erotic stimulation, I'd recommend just fast-forwarding over the first twenty minutes.

Next the action begins. The captor and his two buddies start berating the ladies in heavily-"R-rolling" yakuza dialect, have them administer fellatio to them, make fun of the size of their breasts, weigh them and mock their weight, etc. The girls weighed: Ayano is 108.6kg, Anzu is 95.6kg, and Usagi is 107.6, making her, pound-for-pound, the fattest of the trio. The men write the girls' weights on their bellies with markers.

Next comes my favorite part: The girls are forced to run circles in the prison. This is quite fun to watch. I could have watched these lovely, chubby girls bounce around for much longer than they do in this video. I could see the use of slow-motion and camera angles developing this into a truly outstanding scene. As it is, it's very interesting, but ends too quickly for me. The men then sniff the girls' boobs and complain that they stink of sweat. This leads, naturally enough, to the mandatory shower scene.

The shower scene too has an amusing twist. The jailers hose the girls off with hot water, and it's very fun watching those three chubby girls running around wet and squealing like high school girls, to avoid the water. After the running scene, this one is my second favorite. Unfortunately both of these are very brief. The main set pieces of the video are sex scenes in the prison cells between the guards and each of the three girls individually, and I didn't find those especially interesting. In another amusing twist, no towels are provided after the shower, so the girls have to lick each other dry, which is also fun to watch.

The trio are then subjected to further abuse and humiliation, such as being forced to eat their meals without their hands, from bowls like animals, and forced peeing, which I could have done without myself, though I can see the fun in watching a girl squat and relieve herself. Usagi-chan being the fattest, is specially selected for the dreaded "Sex Diet" treatment-- which is basically a gang-bang in her prison cell. Following this, all three girls are forced to sweat off some weight under a hot sun lamp. Haruna's big sex scene comes next.

After three days in the prison, the girls are weighed again to see if they've lost their required 10 kg. Haruna is now down to 99.8kg, Usagi is 99.1, but Anzu, now at 97.2kg, has actually managed to gain weight. This leads to her big punishment sex torture scene, which concludes the video itself when one of the jailers cums in Anzu's face.

I'll rate this video very high, though not tip-top, cream of the crop. As usual with these videos, it has one of my all-time favorite models... otherwise I wouldn't be reviewing it. In this case that model is Usagi Minagi. The other two girls are also very cute and lovely. The camera work is good throughout. It moves around enough to give us a good look at everything we want to see, without being hyperactive and distracting. Some of that distorting lens that I dislike is used, but not enough to be annoying. The story is also a mark in favor for this video. I've mentioned many times that I prefer some sort of context to the nude/sex scenes. This adds to the overall pleasure of the viewing, and is one reason I like Pink films more than AVs, which I rarely watch all the way through. The story is also an interesting and original one for an AV. I would kind of liked to have seen it played more like a Japanese Women-in-Prison flick-- like a Sasori film-- with the girls trying to escape, and beating the crap out of the guards when they get the chance, but more elaborate plotting like that may have been beyond the budget and the goal of an adult video. The talky nature of the story gives us more than the usual chance to hear Usagi's squeaky baby-voice, which is one of the most intriguing things about her, lovely as she is from a purely physical point of view. The talkiness did have the the major drawback of having the men constantly chattering, barking out orders, bullying and insulting the girls. Besides just being annoying, this gave me a desire to kick the living shit out of the guys, which was a bit distracting from the enjoyment of the video. The fact that the girls kept breaking character and smiling-- besides showing they weren't very good actresses-- reassured me that this was all just play-acting... A much better ending to the video could have been devised, with the girls getting revenge on the bullies-- beating them, sitting on them, and escaping. The end of the video-- just another sex scene-- really was an anti-climax... Also, it seems that for guys who are supposed to be so anti-chubby, they sure seem to enjoy sex with these big, soft, squeeze-able girls.... And I can't fault them for that!

Usagi Minagi: PAD-016

Lest my readers think I have completely abandoned this blog: I am still acquiring videos at as fast a rate as I can, doing this in the background while I work on other projects. If you watch the lower portion of the List of Video Reviews (the "Videos Waiting for Review"), you'll see that it grows by at least one video a day. And these to-be-reviewed videos give me offer for future posts.

Tonight we look at the early Usagi Minagi video I've been promising for a while: Hefty Angels 16 (豊満天使　ＶＯＬ．１６ - Hôman tenshi vol 16; PAD-016). The DVD cover alone brings up several points of interest. It is obviously related to the Chubby-Chubby Heaven series we covered in three posts last year, on September 2 and September 9, and September 16, 2012. Like that series, it is produced by "Kyûbidô" (九尾堂) on the "RABBIT" label and directed by Jun'ichi Natsui (夏井淳一), who seems to be a major name in the early appreciation of the BBW in Japan. I can't get a good date on the release of this DVD, but the Chubby-Chubby Heaven series was released in the mid-90s, and there is some evidence (to be presented in another post) that the Hefty Angels series was a re-release of the other series.

The first third of the video is an interview, with a long, slow, loving look at Usagi's beautiful body. She is clothed through most of it, in her undies, then undresses completely towards the end.

At about 23 minutes into the video the scene changes to Usagi-chan in bed. She just lays in bed, moving around-- front up, back up-- while the camera gives us a thorough look at her from every angle.

At 32 minutes she gets into a bubble bath, emphasis on bubbles. Lots of bubbles. Lots and lots... so many bubbles they cover up the object of our interest: Usagi-chan. This basically wastes about 12 minutes of the video, because, despite the fact that she's really cute splashing around in the bubbles, we just can't see her. (I've illustrated this paragraph with a shot from the previous scene, because there was nothing really exciting to see in the bubble-bath scene).

At 44 minutes, we go back to bed. For the next 7 or 8 minutes an unseen man stimulates Usagi-san's nipples. This is mostly wasted footage, with too much use of close-up.

The final five minutes of this one-hour video consist of an actual sex scene, first missionary, then doggie-style. Both alternating between objective camera and hamadori, or subjective camera, held by the guy shagging Usagi-san. An interesting point of this video is that at several points we see her pussy fairly fully. There is a little bit of fogging right where we might see some actual genitals. This is confusing for a couple reasons: 1) Japan has a legendary censorship policy in which not one whisp of pubic hair is allowed. This law has been relaxed in the past few decades, but I've read conflicting accounts about when it was relaxed, and how much it allows to be seen. 2) the official justification for  this censorship was not morality, but sanitation-- pubic hair being considered dirty. Well, if it's the hair that's dirty, why are they visible here, but her actual twat is fogged out...

One close-up that gets my hearty approval

Director Jun'ichi Natsui (the name is given, in Roman script, as "Junich Natui" in the video's credits) was apparently known mainly as a photographer, and this video does have the style of a photography/modeling session. Almost all of the video consists of Unagi-san on her own, posing, with the camera caressing her body. Personally, I like this. I like just looking at a beautiful woman's body, and the male partner, necessary in these AVs, just gets in the way of my enjoyment of the girl. So, I give this video high marks for the subject matter, and highest marks for the model-- the gorgeous Usagi Minagi. I give the video lower marks though because of the incessant close-ups. If Natsui had taken a more Ozu-influenced stationary camera, or at least less active camera, I'd have been happier. There is also a lot of wasted space in the video-- for example, the entire bubble-bath sequence and the nipple-stimulating sequence at the end.
For the record: Highest marks for Boob-fans, Highest marks for ass-men, highest marks for BBW-fans, high marks for the video subject, but middling marks for overall video technique.

Usagi-chan Behind Bars!

In some bad news for this blog, I've decided I'm going to have to curtail my activities here for some time, and probably cut my posts down to once a week. Usagi Minagi in PARAT-01232

Speaking of which: I've just come across a previously-unknown appearance by one of my all-time favorite models: Usagi Minagi, aka Narumi Mori. This title of this video is Niku-darake! Mega buta rape: Kanchigai debu onna ni nakadashi (PARAT-01232). This 115-minute program was released by Paradise TV in January 2009. I'm not 100% sure this is a video, since the IMDb documentary tells us Paradise TV is a TV station, and the cover above doesn't have a Video code, or even identify it as a DVD/VHS cover. DMM gives it a code of PARAT-01232, and the official site gives the code PTV-1120. The one user review at DMM is positive, noting that he had been disappointed with the station's output before, but that, for the BBW-admirer, this one was a success.

I haven't seen this one yet, so this post is just an introduction to the video based on advertising materials. It seems to be a fairly story-based video in which Usagi-chan and two other overweight girls are kidnapped, imprisoned, and submitted to humiliation. One of the other girls is named Haruna Ayano, the other I don't know. Their abductors weigh the girls, write their weight in kilograms on their bellies, and then force them to lose weight...

This story I have deduced from the images and advertising is not exactly War and Peace, I admit, but for an AV, that's a pretty interesting set-up... Unfortunately, humiliation, imprisonment and abuse do not interest me at all... Nevertheless, it's a chance to see Usagi in action again, and that is always welcome. If you like Usagi-chan, check in again next week, when I will have another surprising discovery of this lovely lady's appearances, this one from the very start of her career!

Dr. Minagi's Cure: CWM-084

Most of the day was spent in my new boob-related research activity: Acquiring videos for viewing. I'm sharing image snaps from these videos as I get them, but I'm thinking of also doing more formal reviews of them later on. To tell the truth, I've never been much of an AV watcher. Short clips and stills usually suffice to satisfy my curiosity of the show, and I haven't had a pressing desire to watch the whole thing... For an entire erotic film, Pink is still more my taste... a two-hour sex video, to me, is like a meal of whipped cream... You need something more substantial to put that whipped cream on-- which is what a Pink film provides with story, acting, screenwriting, cinematography, etc... As I see more of these AVs, I'll get more idea on how to view and comment on them with some critical perspective.

Anyway. All that aside, down to brass tacks: Tonight we continue looking at beautiful, chubby little pixie, Usagi Minagi, continuing a review of her video we started yesterday: BBW Teacher: Narumi Mori (San-nen P-gumi pocchari sensei: Mori Narumi; August 2009; CWM-084). Directed by Wild Seven and released by Waap Entertainment. The second segment of the story of Ms. Minagi, the teacher, appears to cast her in the role of school nurse. One of the students has some sort of a problem for which Ms. Minagi knows the best remedy.

Here we see Nurse Minagi administering the cure to the lad in the first stage of treatment, and his spirits are rallying already.

The treatment proceeds with a direct assault to the offending member. Dr. Minagi applies mammary therapy to the dangerously excited organ, hoping to work the poison out through stimulation.

After the satisfyingly successful climax of this procedure, Usagi-chan annoints herself with the venomous discharge, and a happy ending is seen for both doctor and patient.
