Mika Hoshima: Seiyû, Say Me!

Goodness gr-r-r-racious!
There was actually a good outcome to my recent look back at the hell-hole that is Wikipedia. My renewed admiration for the inclusive, yet structured-- truly encyclopedic nature of IMDb has spurred on my work at that project with renewed enthusiasm. My previously lagging two-year project to submit every Pink film released from 1990 to the present day has picked up steam once again.
Mirror, mirror
For those who may not remember: I had already done 2003 to the present (with some gaps, like a lot of 2012), and started filling in the huge 1990 - 2003 gap in Pink film coverage at IMDb in January 2013. 1998 took me forever-- a few months at least-- but I finally made it to the end of 1998 last week. I started submitting 1999 at the end of the week. I've been trying to do a month a day, so I am already into May 1999 now. If I can keep that up (which I can't, of course), I'll have the 1990 - present project finished within three months.
A little tea and sympathy...
Also, I've submitted a couple important early BBW AVs, as well as some continued work on the Pink films of 1967.
Care for a pastry?
But perhaps most significant for this blog: I experimentally submitted links to my own video reviews for the JAMS, IZM and MAGURO DVDs, IMDb entries for which I started earlier this year. IMDb snapped them up, and had them live within a few minutes!
NOW I know why the caged bird sings!
You can now see my review listed under the "Critic" links at IMDB's entries for those videos. (Icd-09, Icd-107, Icd-134, Icd-138, Icd-165, Icd-213, Snd-01, Snd-35, Maguro-008, Maguro-035, and Maguro-038).
Bend over just a little more, please, ma'am...
And this means, yes, "Hail, Hail Boobpedia", and "Dekkappai" are listed at IMDb as a review site, and a critic... I see also that IMDb awards top reviewer badges monthly, not yearly, as they do contributor badges. So I may also polish some of my existing reviews and start posting them in September... That will give me more incentive to take time out to watch and enjoy all the Pink cinema I've been acquiring of late.
An energizing morning repast
But I suppose by now you are wondering who the lovely lass illustrating tonight's post might be. Feast your eyes on Mika Hoshima (星間美佳)!
Multi-talentned... and moer!
Multi-talented seiyû (voice-actress), illustrator, cosplayer, actress and pastry artiste. To each of her talents, she adds the charms of her awe-inspiring P-cup bosom.
Presentation is everything!
I don't know how her cooking is, but if the presentation is anything to go by, it must be heavenly!
Cosplayer LUU has formidable competition!
She was born in Ishigawa Prefecture on June 25, 1983. and has a second nickname of "Oppai-chan" ("Miss Titties").
Dive in!
"Miss Titties?" How did she obtained that moniker? Your guess is as good as mine... A Youtube clip gives us a glimpse of this magnificent lady in performance, reading a children's story, and singing. And another one gives us a vocal performance with illustrations of this gorgeous lady.

I haven't seen any major credits she's racked up, but I'll keep my eye on her blog profile so I can start an IMDb page for her as soon as she's in a film. So far, she reports having performed in radio commercials for the Ishikawa Zoo and Hotel East 21 Tokyo.
Seasons Greetings!
She has done voice dubbing for the American TV series, Burn Notice. (I suppose if I were really desperate, I might be able to sneak her onto IMDb with that credit...) On radio she has performed in "Oedo Wide Super Morning" and "Showa Roman Radio Story". And on stage she has been in "Youth Museum", "How Noisy!", "Shibaraku!", and "Nostalgic Cafe".
...and Akemashite omedetou!

She currently maintains her blog, which she started in February 2008. She also has a twitter account which yielded many of the images you see before you tonight. Another twitter-like page provided some more images.
Crazy Tea Party!
Here's a brief Youtube clip giving us a glimpse of one of her "Crazy Tea Parties". If you're lucky enough to be in Tokyo, you have a chance to bask in her glory one of these events on August 22. Tell her Dekkappai sent you, and give her a big hug for me!
Booze & boobs! I'm in heaven!
I'm sure there is much more to write about this extraordinary lady, but it will have to wait for a later post. Her career is certainly worth following with considerable interest, but I'm bushed tonight, and think I'll turn in early.
Mika Hoshima: The belle of the ball
Actually, I was at a loss as to what to write about tonight until reader Brandt pointed me to this lovely lady.
Like it?!
So you can thank him for sparing you all from another long-winded anti-Wikipedia rant. Thank you, reader Brandt!

Happy Birthday, LUU!

My IMDb Pink film work continues slowly but surely. I'll have to kick it into high gear soon though if I want to finish up last year's resolution to finish submitting all Pink films made between 1990 and 2003 by the end of the year. (2003- present were already fairly well covered, I think.) I finished the translation of 1997 today, and have finished submitting into October. Here at this blog, I have updated the long out-of-date List of Video Reviews, and will update the List of Models next. Tonight's post here, being a birthday, has got me thinking about starting another page for this blog-- a calendar of important events/birthdays, etc. to use for interest, and for reminders on what we should be remembering here. But for now, on with the show!
"Miss Fat Woman" LUU, at Debukawa Night
We haven't looked in on our favorite cosplayer, the lovely LUU, in quite a while, and since this happens to be her birthday-- she gives her birthday as March 4, 1986 in her Curecos profile-- this would be a good time to see what she has been up to lately. She has released seven CD-ROMS of cosplay photos since last we reviewed her output. All the images in tonight's post come from LUU's Twitter account, which she is maintaining much better than her blog these days. Above we see LUU at the Debukawa Night, where she won the "Miss Fat Woman" contest, and which we covered in a post in November 2013.
L029: Pocha soni
LUU seems to have released these CD-ROMS, each containing 200 1200x800 images, in two bunches.
L030
LUU in L030
L028 (which I haven't found a cover image for) through L031 were released on August 10, 2013, and L032-L034 on December 31, 2013.
L031: Mezase! Cho nikkan idol

L032: Erotica Crown
LUU in L032
L033: Pocha soni 2

LUU. Just LUU!
But despite her cosplaying hobby, it's the natural LUU I really want to see-- without the costuming, the blond wigs, and the character posing. I'd like to think this picture, above, shows us a little what this lady might really, naturally look like... and it happens to be my favorite picture of hers I've come across in quite a while. Happy Birthday, LUU!

Known Unknowns and Unknown Unknowns

I managed to catch up on my IMDb schedule, submitting Pink film entries into May, 1992. At this rate, I should be done with the year by the middle of the month... But tonight let's pause and look at a few choice ladies I've stumbled across in my searches, and set aside for closer admiration, but whom I can't identify.
First up is this cheerful, full-figured lass I found in a Google-cached image search. The image's site had replaced this image with another girl's. It seems to be from a soapland/deli-health... If she hasn't appeared in DVDs, let's hope she does! Look at that sweet smile, those apple-red cheeks, and those... apples! [P.S. February 5: I suspect this may be Sora Nanami (七海そら), the new GAS girl from GAS-256. I've found new images of her looking similar to this, which I'll post soon.]
I found this image at a blog. It appears to advertise a site or DVD, but the link went to a generic porn site that appeared to have nothing to do with the image... The girl on the right interests me most, and I think I've seen her before, but can't place her... The text in the image says "Lake of Booze / Forest of Flesh; Chubby / Lesbian..." (I can't quite make out the first two characters ("Kyu/air", something) but it seems to be the name of an establishment.) Whatever it is, booze + Asian BBWs sounds like my idea of paradise!
This incredibly gorgeous woman was posted without information on tumblr. Judging from her face, she might not be Japanese, but that's just a guess...
This buxom vixen was also on tumblr. The image contains a watermark that goes to a site for finding Chinese wives. Her face does look Chinese-- though I rather doubt she's available at any pen-pal marriage club... I also have some doubts as to whether this image is completely authentic. For one thing, her boobs look Caucasian...
...Yulia Nova comes to mind...

...and for another thing, the image was found along with the one of Saori Hara above left, which is obviously a faked-up version of the real one, on the right, so both images could be work from the same Photoshopper...
Amy Villainous as Velma Dinkley
And we'll wrap up this session with a couple of Americans. Above is a woman who seems to be engaged in a US cosplay version of Scooby Doo, Where Are You!'s Velma Dinkley. The lady does an excellent job of filling in the character.
(9 Aug 2014 Note: Reader MawBTS informs me below that this knock-out is Amy Villainous, who has a nice profile with pictures at Model Mayhem, and an account at Tumblr. Check her out!)
Velma, above left, was smart, thick and solid, short and buxom, wore glasses, and had strong, thick legs ... I could never understand why the guys were always fawning over Daphne when Velma was my dream girl... That's Daphne above, right. Nothing against Daphne, but if you'd take her before Velma, you're obviously at the wrong blog!
...And finally, this appears just to be a lady. A beautiful, smiling lady. Probably not an actress or any other kind of public performer, but good God, what a vision of loveliness!

As the research and discoveries march on, any help in turning up information identifying any of these charming women would be appreciated!

LUU Brings Art to Life

We reported on the first Debukawa night back on August 18. That February event included a "Miss Fat Woman Contest", the results of which I'm sure we've all been wondering about. Well, the results are in! The June 14 entry of the event blog indicates that that a second Debukawa event was to be held on Halloween, and that the first "Miss Fat Woman Grand Prix" (ミスファットウーマングランプリ) was won by a woman named either "Atchan" or "Rei", and our oft-admired LUU was runner up.

Images of this event were not offered, but this does give me a chance to show off a recent find: Complete albums of several of beautiful LUU's CD-ROMs... All these albums and more are available for purchase from LUU herself at her blog. Several images from these have already been spread around the Web, but I will show a few I think have not been seen so often.
LUU as Cattleya
First, in her first opus, Oppai Maman (おっぱいママン; L001), LUU portrays the character Cattleya from Queen's Blade.
Cattleya
Though, for aesthetic reasons, I've intentionally chosen an image of LUU in a more disrobed state than the cartoon character usually is, here (I think), is an image of the original character for comparison. Note that all-natural LUU is able to compete with the cartoonist's exaggerated rendering of the female form.
LUU as Merfa
Second, from Madame LUU's second release, Perverted Carnival (背徳の謝肉祭 - Haitoku no shanikusai; L002), we see LUU as the character Merfa (or Melfa), again from Queen's Blade.
Merfa / Melfa
Here is the original character for comparison.
LUU as Manyu Chibusa
Fifth-- er, third, from her fifth album, Oppai wa seigi (おっぱいは正義; L005) in costume as the character Manyu Chibusa from Manyuu Hiken-Chou...
LUU as Manyu Chibusa
... and out of costume...
Manyu Chibusa
Here is the character for comparison. Note that though the artist portrays the character as quite solid, LUU nevertheless expands a bit on the artist's conception. Once again, I prefer LUU's rendition...
LUU as Elina
In her eighth album, Matatabi (またたび; L008), LUU returned to Queen's Blade portraying the character Elina, in...
LUU as Elina
...and flopping out of costume.
Elina
A comparison with the original character, above, shows that LUU's figure imposes a much more Wagnerian stateliness than the girlish figure designed by the artist. I prefer LUU's fleshy rendition to the artist's.
LUU as Mellona
And the final catch of this recent LUU treasure trove is from her ninth album, Buyo-pin (ぶよピン; L009), in which she takes another stab at Queen's Blade, portraying the character Mellona.
Mellona
The original Mellona seems to be much more girlish, than our mature, matronly LUU-san.
LUU as Mellona
I guess what I've learned from this little survey of LUU's cosplaying, compared with the original cartoons, is that I like women in the flesh rather than in crayon... After a full day's worth of cosplaying, what's a big, beautiful lady like LUU got to do? Take a shower! Let's all mentally dive right in and enjoy with her!
