A Pink Digression

OK, it's long past time to check in on this blog again. I've been busy.

Recently-found poster image to Kôji Wakamatsu's Sei no hôrô (性の放浪; 1967)
I intended to spend all this year working on my new JAV Archive, but at the beginning of August I got a bit tired of it, and had a hankering to dabble in Pink a little. So I spent all the month of August, and some of October, working on my somewhat-neglected Pink Film Archives. I have been keeping up with the new Pink releases all year-- there are only three Pink films per month released these days, so keeping up with them is not very difficult-- but I decided to look around the 'Net and see if I could find any new images of older Pink film posters... I DID!... I found a few sources for older Pink film posters-- 1960s & '70s, mostly-- which allowed me to start new entries on those films. Some were just-barely-acceptable distorted images from Yahoo Auctions.... But most satisfactorily, some of these posters were to films for which I already had entries illustrated with just stills, or video covers. A nice theatrical poster is always my goal. I also found much better images of posters to a few hundred Roman Porno films for which I already had entries. I upgraded the images for my existing entries for those films.
Japan's first sex film star: Tamaki Katori
While doing this I happened to stumble on a few excellent stills of the first Pink Film starlet, and therefore Japan's first sex film star: Tamaki Katori. These show her in the mid '60s, I believe. The one film I've seen her in was Koji Wakamatsu's The Woman Who Wanted to Die (1971). She was plump, mature & gorgeous in that film. I'll add these images to my only-just-barely-started upcoming blog/archive on Pink film/JAV personnel, which I sort of plan on working on next year-- while coming back to this blog on a more regular basis as well.
Anna Ohura: Branded 'not notable' by a mob of bigoted know-nothing & deleted from Wikipedia
Due to Wikipedia deletions (rant to follow below), I also found a picture archive on lovely early '00s actress/model Anna Ohura. I'm not sure what format this actress/personnel blog will take-- Bios, & pictures, naturally-- but absolutely EVERY picture I can find (as I've done with Chihiro)?... or what?... I'd like it to be a full encyclopedia project-- not only articles on actresses, but also on directors/other personnel, films, videos, genres, etc... I'm thinking it over while accumulating the data in the JAV Archive this year...

Miwa Sasaki VHS covers... coming to the JAV Archives
At the time I took the Pink detour I was caught up with the JAV archives. So the bad thing about that detour, obviously, is that it has put me behind in the again... by one month. But by plotting my JAV course systematically, I was able to grab up a month's worth of images & data over the past couple days, and I still have ammunition for future entries while I translate, format & post the data & images. I finished this portion of the catch-up project this morning, allowing me to take time off for some non-JAV work, and to whip out this quickie post here.

Ellen Joe's VHS covers soon to grace the JAV Archives
I've been concentrating on building up the representation of VHS covers most recently at the JAV Archives. This results in older, less-spectacularly buxom/BBW subjects, but a better historical perspective. Also, having lived through that era-- even the later Roman Porno era-- it's nice to revisit some old favorites like Miwa Sasaki and Ellen Joe (whom we see above)-- who can still hold their own with today's zaftig lasses-- so I intend to revisit the early days of the busty/BBW genre many times.

A new Shizuku Amai DVD
But as soon as these are all posted, I'll dive back into recent debuts-- such as the incredible Shizuku Amai, above-- and catch up on recent releases by old reliables like GAS, Maguro, IZM, Bombom Cherry, & all the rest... The Pink Film Archives are my personal favorites, and, I think, the most important work I'm doing, but the JAV Archive at Tumblr is proving to be, by far, my most popular project. At only just over half a year, I am nearing 1,000 followers.

This concludes the post proper. What follows is another anti-Wikipedia rant, so you can stop reading here. Forgive me... I wasted five years working, writing and contributing information there, thinking that Japanese erotic film is part of the "uncensored sum of human knowledge"... and it is, of course, but Wikipedia has been taken over by Crusaders and bigots... If you want information on subjects they personally don't like, "Google is your friend", as they say-- in other words, Wikipedia is not...
DNT-062 video cover
2010 compilation DVD with an appearance by the 'non-notable' subject of THREE documentaries: Maki Tomoda
Since my last report here, Wikipedia's deletions have finally started in on Japanese erotic cinema. Recently declared notable subjects who blatantly pass even Wikipedia's subjective, original and biased definition of 'notability' include Anna Ohura, Hitomi Tanaka, and Maki Tomoda. Maki Tomoda is not just an AV star, she's starred in several mainstream theatrical films, TV programs (thereby passing one porn 'notability' test), she has won Pink Film Awards and Pinky Ribbon Awards, thereby passing TWO porn notability tests, and has been the subject of THREE documentaries, including a French (international) one-- thereby passing even the GENERAL Notability Guidelines!... The discussion stupidly ignored the heavily reliably-sourced (i.e., 'notable') first award, noted only the second, more minor award, and THEN, when the first one was mentioned, assumed it was the second one, which-- without reading a word of Japanese-- they deemed 'not notable'. It would have been absolutely pointless to point out any of the buffoonish comedy of errors going on during the discussion which resulted from that fact that no one in the discussion either read Japanese or was not biased against the subject. Bigots are as arrogant in their opinions as they are ignorant in them... This is the state of Wikipedia today-- Crusaders gutting subject areas against which they have a clear bias. I have to admit, I was surprised at the brazenness of this Deletion-- she clearly passed Wikipedia's own biased guidelines, but they deleted her anyway. I expect the next step to be a rewrite of those guidelines because nobody objected to the deletion, and then virtually ALL Japanese cinema articles could be deleted if anyone chose to do so. They will be deleted with selective bias, though, naturally...

Fechi-angle kyonyû Ôura Anna (フェチアングル巨乳 大浦あんな - TWV-035; 2003)
Nearly 100% of deletion "discussions" now result in delete. "Deletionists" have driven off the contributors, and have completely free run of the project now. Anyone with interest or knowledge of the subject area has given up on Wikipedia and gon on to other projects. Contributing anything to Wikipedia is futile-- I've seen articles deleted after passing more than 20 nominations. That's a waste of the time of the editors who put the article together, and the editors who fought to save it after dozens of discussions. So, let them delete the entire subject of Japanese cinema. Wikipedia is already useless on the subject due to the bias of these few, non-productive editors. (When he's not searching WP for any mention of boobies or pee-pees to razor-blade out of the encyclopedia, sexually-repressed obsessive/repressive Hullaballo Wolfowitz, occasionally adds a little to articles on trivial 1950s paperback science-fiction compilations. There would be nothing wrong with that, if he weren't so active in deleting content on much more 'notable' subjects in other areas... and he insultingly sources these sci-fi articles only with open Wikis and databases which he would never allow at an article on a subject against which he is biased.) It will continue to be this way because it is infinitely easier to delete an article than it is to create one.
PPPD-402 video cover
Hitomi Tanaka: 65 starring roles & growing at IMDb. Recently deleted as 'non-notable' at Wikipedia
I've seen some of the editors involved in these deletions admit on other sites that they are at Wikipedia only for the "drama", with no intention of ever contributing content... In other words, they are trolls. And I don't blame the trolls-- that's what they do: Have fun disrupting a project until they get caught and thrown off-- "Ha ha! I wasted their time!"... No, I blame Jimbo Wales & the creators of Wikipedia. These trolls are not being thrown off-- They are staying, and the CONTRIBUTORS are leaving... Crowd-sourcing is one thing, but allowing the crowd to govern itself results mob rule. Like at IMDb, editors should be allowed only to contribute information to Wikipedia. Experts/professionals need to be hired to investigate and accept or reject that information, handle formatting & deletions, content disputes & discipline, etc. Giving the editors free reign to create, interpret and enforce rules resulted in the Lord of the Flies atmosphere-- People with no interest in content are in charge, the real contributors are driven off, anti-content Crusades, subject-area purges, non-stop argument-- all to the harm of the encyclopedia. The takeover of Wikipedia by the "Deletionist" trolls. So, delete it all, trolls! Jimbo and the Wikipedia "community" don't care... And subject-specialist sites like IMDb become all the more valuable because of their tolerance of the intolerant...

A Life at Stake

I'm in the middle of changing gears in the Munekyunkissa project. I finished up the main ALB- / Busty Amateur Nakadashi 10-film template list articles and main article for the series last night. I also did more preparation for the Actress-bio stage of the project. This morning I worked out some final bugs in the skeleton file, and started one bio: Aimi Sakamoto. My evening session was spent starting bio stubs for the rest of the list of Busty Amateur Nakadashi series DVDs: 001 - 010. I got all but one started-- couldn't find enough info on that one... All the actresses in the first 10 DVDs have been of pretty actresses, certainly, but of non-Dekkappedlian proportions. Skinny, model-pretty.. I do like the chubby girls... I'll no doubt go to a more BBW-centric project after this one-- MAGURO maybe (our much-admired Yuuki Manaka is featured on the cover of MAGURO-014 at left)-- or updates on other big-girl labels like JAMS or IZM...

I spent most of my afternoon BP session adding new actress bio-stubs started by other editors to the List of Big Breasted Japanese AV Actresses. That list was one of the first things I started at Boobpedia, and, not long after it had been added, the founder of the project told me it was one of the most-viewed pages at the site. This list actually started from a list of Japanese AV Actresses that was deleted at Wikipedia back when I first got suckered into contributing there-- 2006. One of the popular reasons for deleting things in those days was because they were "unsourceable". "How do we even know these people exist?" So, before it was deleted, with the intent of restoring the list, I saved it for myself and spent my free hours sourcing every entry I could, and removing the very few I couldn't. By the time I had it all sourced, I had come to realize that, of course, the ruling class at Wikipedia just plain didn't want that kind of information there, but they won't say so openly. They have to do lip-service to "Not censored / not biased / neutral point of view" and all those other lies. This all applies only to the English Wikipedia, of course. Japanese Wikipedia still stays true to the spirit under which Wikipedia was founded-- the honest presentation of information-- and so, like any project claiming to aspire to "the sum of human knowledge", they do have hundreds of articles on these models who have appeared in internationally-distributed media. Japanese Wikipedia's problem is that its users rarely cite their sources-- and yet I have found JWiki to be almost always correct in its information-- information that would be / is banned at English Wiki. When I finally had had enough of the garbage at Wikipedia, I considered just staying full-time at JWiki. My Japanese isn't good enough (to say the least) to contribute text, but I could have provided citations to back up unsourced facts. But the same problem which ruined English Wiki still looms at JWiki: There are no real policies, no set-in-stone statement that X is allowed here, and Y is not. Style X is used here, Style Y is not. There are no policies and no authorities. It's all in flux, up for non-stop argument, and subject to change either through the interpretation by anonymous users, or the complete making up from scratch of policies by anonymous users. For anyone there to contribute information, it's a recipe for disaster, one that has come true at English Wikipedia, and could (probably eventually will) happen at the other Wikis. If I did take the time to cite all that information, any one or group could come along and say, "Any source that covers subject X is not a 'reliable source'" and then delete it. This has happened at English Wiki. Contributing to any Wiki that does not openly state "We cover X, but not Y", is a waste of time. Anyway, when Boobpedia was started, I picked out the "Busty" entries and gave the list to that fine project. Wikipedia's loss.

Meanwhile, back at IMDb, it turned out Sharp had nothing much to say about Sex semi dokyumento: Renzoku fujo bôkôma-- which I've been holding off on submitting-- except to cite it as a typical misogynistic rape pinku, with the slightly odd fact that one of the main actresses-- Rumi Tama-- was the step mother of the director-- Seiji Izumi. So I went ahead and submitted it today. I see one of my previously-submitted articles has gone live: Poruno repôto: Bôkô-ma (1976). I made a fair amount of new submissions today also: Blue film no Onna: Chissoku (ブルーフィルムの女 ちっそく; Genji Nakamura; Genji Production; 1978-11), Chikan genkôhan (痴漢現行犯; Giichi Nishihara; Shintoho Company; 1978-10), Chikan kakueki teisha: Ossan nani surun'ya (痴漢各駅停車 おっさん何するんや; Minoru Inao; Shintoho Company; 1978-05), Chikan saishû densha (痴漢最終電車; Minoru Inao; Shintoho Company; 1978-08), Chikan waisetsu kôen (痴漢ワイセツ公園; Minoru Inao; Shintoho Company; 1978-11), Chikan yokochô joshi ryô mae (痴漢横丁女子寮前; Tadashi Yoyogi; Watanabe Pro / Nikkatsu; 1978-12-02), and Nuresugita mesuneko (濡れすぎた牝猫 / 濡れた牝猫; Banmei Takahashi; Takahashi Pro; 1979-07-10).

My evening's entertainment continued the survey I started unintentionally a couple nights ago of Angela Lansbury's film noir/femme fatale career. This one was A Life at Stake (1954). It was almost as good, not quite, as the last one. Fine acting from all the leads helped this one quite a bit. Besides Ms. Lansbury, the major roles were taken by Keith Andes as her lover/possible victim, Douglass Dumbrille as her elderly, but spry, husband, and Claudia Barrett as her shy and goodhearted (and much more attractive in my eye) younger sister. Even the minor characters had memorable and capable performers such as Ma Joad herself-- Jane Darwell. Paul Guilfoyle's directing was competent, but this one was flawed by budget and screenplay. Lansbury's motivations were never quite clear: Was she really in love with Andes, and cheating on her husband with him? Or was she working with her husband to seduce Andes and bump him off for insurance money? This question could have been used to create suspense, but instead it was just confusing. We never really know, even after the scheming couple meet their untimely end... Still, it was an entertaining little thriller. If you need a painless way to spend 75 minutes, check it out for yourself at the Internet Archive.

The Great Wikipedia Blackout! or One Last Rant to Rule them All

Gentlemen, in sympathy with Wikipedia's blackout protest, I'll join in and bring the Web to its knees by strangulating the flow of information on Japanese softcore porn to IMDb for a day. Also I'll take a break from my Pink film archive work. It'll give me a chance to discuss a few things.

First, I find it somewhat ironic that Wikipedians claim sympathy with Google's message, "Please don't censor the Web", yet in their last few hours before blackout, they deleted (censored) an article in my realm of study: The award-winning, big-budget, independently-reviewed, 5th-anniversary DVD from Moodyz, A Queendom of the Eros. It meets their own "notability" criteria on several counts, but it's not notable because a few snobs choose to ignore their own rules and say it's not notable because, you know, we say it's not notable. So now it is gone!
[I thump my fist on my desk causing papers to fly about the room. I press the intercom.]

Oh, Miss Assssatoh! Could you step in here please. I seem to have inadvertendly dropped some paper... again...

Please don't mind my secretary, Miss Asato of Max-Body, while she cleans up a bit, gentlemen.

Now, my old Wikipedia cohort in Japanese erotic entertainment, Cherryblossom1982 started the A Queendom of the Eros article. I hope he notices that the more reliable, more honest IMDb now has one on it. Like anyone actually interested in contributing information, rather than playing power games, he too is long gone from Wikipedia.

Please step over to the piano, Miss Asato, while I finish this lecture. Feel free to tinkle a bit on the ivories a bit if the muse calls.

Gentlemen. Only the evilest people I have ever encountered on the Internet thrive at Wikipedia. Whether the Wikipedia system makes people this way, or whether it attracts those who are already warped, I don't know. Anyone who comes to honestly contribute sourced information leaves, while those who come to enforce their opinions stay. Those who remain are only there to save Wikipedia from itself, because they believe only they can do it. It is a haven for self-important, manipulative frauds with the narrowest, most self-deluded minds, the least tolerance of others, of humor and the least capacity for self-reflection. Wikipedia, which was founded on populist ideas like freedom of information has been overrun by lazy, elitist snobs and moralists of the cheapest order: Those who prop up their own shabby egos by sneering at the less "refined".

Gentlemen please! please look this way when I am speaking. There is no need to monitor Ms. Asato so carefully. She is quite capable of finishing her work without your attention, I assure you.

Ahem. Where was I? Oh yes. Even editors whom I once considered rational began following crackpot Wiki-cults like "Notability", either because they eventually became brainwashed, or they just got tired of fighting the nonsense. "Notability" has so taken over Wiki-think that we are now told that only information directly related to a subject's claim for "notability" belongs in a biography. Family, ancestry, ethnic background are not-- or should not be-- a part of a person's biography at Wikipedia. Wikipedia tells us that a biography is not be about a person's life, it is about a person's "notability". Just to check that I wasn't insane (one should check this occasionally), I picked up about a dozen actual biographies at random. You know, biographies... books about people's lives. Every one of them started out with family background and ancestry. Some even charted family trees-- Cruft! Some-- Good Gosh!-- even covered such Wiki-taboo subjects as religion and sexuality. You know, people's lives... So, yes, the Wikipedia community is insane.

Wait over there for a moment please, Miss Asato, while I change gears.

As I mentioned in my October farewell message here, I have changed gears in my online activity, reducing Wiki-type-work. I've been working on the Pink film archive(s) and at IMDb. I finished starting the first half-- uploading all my images of posters to films from 1990 to the present-- and have made a pretty good dent on the second half-- the pre-1990 films. Working backwards from 1990, I am now at the start of 1975. '75 seems to be a hurdle, since this year and the ones before it have several beautiful, large, poster images which will need a lot of touching-up before they're presentable-- watermarks removed, etc. (The more recent years have some pretty messy images too, but they're too small to bother cleaning unless a real article is to be started.) This, plus the fact that I've worked on this project non-stop for... what?... four months now? makes me feel like it's time for a little breather before making the final push. I'm running out of steam.

OK, you can wait over on the left now, Ms. Asato.

At IMDb I finished working on Sachi Hamano's filmography. The Grand Dame of Pink now has 159 films to her credit. (She's supposedly directed over 300, but that is all I could find listed in the main Japanese sources.) Now I've started adding/working on every Pink film released in a particular year. I finished 2011 and am now at 2010. Surprisingly, the 2010 films are already in IMDb. I've been adding role names and crew members, and linking to the posters in my Pink film archive.

Ah, Ms. Asato, I think a paper flew behind that couch there-- would you see if you can reach it? For the little work I did at IMDb last year, I received a "Happy New Year" note from Col Needham, General Mananger and co-founder of IMDb, with thanks and encouragement to contribute more. It was a form-letter email, of course, but still, far better than the treatment contributors receive at Wikipedia. Anything you contribute is immediate target for deletion, and has to be guarded and fought for. When on Jimbo Wales' talkpage I mentioned my over 600 article contributions, not one of which has (yet) been deleted, I was insulted by a non-contributing, opinionated idiot (Tarc). A user who contributes nothing to the project, and only argues and stirs up trouble would legitimately be branded a troll at any rational site. But Wales sat there and said nothing. Who does Wales thank? The only time I saw him go out of his way to thank an editor was when the prancing hypocrite Scott MacDonald created the biggest disruption of Wikipedia I'd ever seen, by speedy-deleting hundreds of unsourced biographies. And how does Scotty feel about the blackout? He opposes it because, you know, it disrupts Wikipedia to make a point. "In protest at this action [blah blah blah] I will cease contributing on an indefinite basis." If that's the only result of this blackout, then it is well worth it.

Fine job, Ms. Asato. You've earned a rest!
The evil trickles down from the top, gentlemen. Jimbo created this whole mess by not setting up any definitions, any real rules or guidelines himself. He has not made so much as a simple statement of what Wikipedia is. He famously claimed it to aspire to "The sum of human knowledge," yet it has now become accepted majority opinion that Wikipedia aspires to a minimal coverage of any topic. Recruiting new contributors is, in effect, only recruiting new victims. Even such "Pillars" as "Wikipedia is Not Censored" / "No Original Research" / "Neutral Point of View" are routinely subverted by subjective, fan-made rules like "Notability". This lack of any rules left the creation of rules to anyone who wanted to. So why work on articles? Without a set definition of the project, that is totally pointless work. The goals of the project, being undefined, can, and have been changed, resulting in the deletion of that work. Jimbo's other project-- Wikia, the Gulag created as an exile for those interested in contributing information rather than acting as barroom bouncers throwing out information-- is even worse. But I will save that rant for later. Don't worry Miss Asato, it's only worth one rant. I didn't invest anywhere near the time and effort there that I did at Wikipedia, so I've got a lot less to mull over.

Aw fuck it.
Contributing to Wikipedia is for chumps.
Only trolls whose only purpose is to harass the contributing suckers are welcome there.
And that is my last rant on the subject.

Hmm...
Hold that inspiring pose for a moment, Miss Asato, if you could, and I'll be right there!

Jugs with Wine, a Wikipedia Rant, and Thou

I'm nearly finished posting all my current posters at my first Pink film blog, which covers the years 1990 to the present. I just have to finish 2002. So far, I've made a total of over 1,200 posts, each representing a film, with information and poster(s). I've been slowly adding some info to IMDb, and their coverage of, for example, the filmography of Sachi Hamano, and the personnel involved in the making of those films, is improving. IMDb even gladly accepted an article on Mariko Morikawa's sole cinematic venture, Big Tit Monestary, linking to my blog's posters of both releases of the film. Nearly all of this information, needless to say, would now be unwelcomed at the project formerly claiming to aspire to "the sum of human knowledge."

[ BREAKING NEWS: The geniuses (i.e. anonymous, uninformed and biased volunteers) at Wikipedia are now in the process of removing awards as proof of "notability" for Pink film personnel, based on equating them with US low-grade, hardcore pornography personnel. According to the Historical Dictionary of Japanese Cinema, Pink film "must be considered a crucial sector of [Japanese] domestic film production." Do similar reference books on US cinema say this of US hardcore pornography? No matter. Soon, articles on Japanese performers in mainstream films will be targeted for deletion because of a guideline set up to deal with (i.e., delete) articles on U.S. hardcore porn stars. As far as sexual exlicitness, Pink films are the equivalent of US R- and NC-17 films. So will the geniuses at Wikipedia judge filmmakers and films in the US R- and NC-17 categories by the same standard? No, no, no, of course not. But, Dekkappai-san! You don't mean that Wikipedia's "notability" guidelines violate Wikipedia's own policies of "No original research", "Neutral Point of View" and "Not Censored" by allowing editors frame it with their un-supported opinions and personal prejudices, resulting in cultural bias throughout the project! That's EXACTLY what I don't mean nothin' else BUT! ]

Scene from Tamaki Yasuoka's new DVD

Speaking of Hell on the Internet. I got a notice that the edit-warring and sourced-content-deletion of full-time Wiki-asshole Hullaballoo Wolfowitz had been brought to the attention of Jimbo Wales. I made the mistake of blundering in and pointing out that HW was one of the arrogant, ignorant, incompetent, lazy sons-of-bitches who had played a role in my leaving the project-- after having contributed over 600 articles including two Good and one Featured on the mainpage. And how did Wales react? Silence. I was then attacked and insulted on Jimbo's talkpage by a pimply-faced Anglo-centric piece of shit who has never contributed anything to the project, and spends all his time seeing that his self-important, ignorant opinion is represented at every discussion. And how did Wales react? Silent agreement.

A week before Daylight Savings time, I had another brush with Wikipedia. My old computer indicated it was time to set the clocks back, but, knowing that the date had been changed within the last decade, I decided to check around first. I figured even the incompetent blow-hards at Wikipedia could manage to give me the correct time of day. One would think that, for one, is one of the rare, relatively non-controversial topics which doesn't attract crackpottery, edit-warring and deletion of real information. One would thing wrong. The article on Daylight Savings Time does not give the dates of time change. I checked another article-- "Daylight Savings Time in various countries" or whatever. That did not give the dates of time-change either. At this point I did what I should have done before I even went to the site: said "FUCK Wikipedia!" and easily Googled my answer. I can only imagine that the constipated, rule-making "Wikipedia is not" apes went on a "Wikipedia is NOT an almanac!" crusade and deleted any information that might help users in this area. And Jimbo Wales and the rest of the Neville Chamberlains sat on their smug asses silently "assuming good faith".

Tamaki-san's wine date, Mei Asaki

So far so good.

Then, today I get an email from the marvelous Wikipedia system telling me that an article I started on the Korean animated film Robot Taekwon V and Golden Wing way back in 2006 had suddenly been put up for speedy deletion. Against my better judgement, I looked in to see what was up. What happened illustrates the bureaucratic incompetence that has taken hold at Wikipedia, and which is only getting worse, to the satisfaction of the incompetent teens-playing-bureaucrats who run the place now. Some stupid fucking idiot vandalized the article, adding a lot of hoax information involving Nicholas Cage, President Obama, Roger Ebert, etc. Ha ha ha. Funny. OK. Easily fixed. Just revert it, right? Wrong. But that's how the marvelous Wikipedia system works, isn't it? No. That's how the old Wikipedia worked. The Wikipedia that was set up to accept and present information. How does the new, modernized, BLP-ized, Notability-ized, Deletion-ized Wikipedia system handle this? It speedy-deletes the article as a hoax, then warns me-- retired, good-faith contributor, non-vandal ME-- not to add inappropriate material. Fine. IMDb will be happy to accept information on this "hoax" film when I eventually tire of Pink cinema and branch out to Korean cinema.
Here's the entry for that "hoax" over at the Korean Movie Database, and to the right, more hoaxery deceives your eyes. Of course none of the English and American idiots at Wikipedia would think to search for information on a Korean animated film in Korean, would they? No, anyone who reads Korean has either left the project to contribute real information someplace that accepts it, or has accepted what Wikipedia is now, and stayed on to push one point of view and to fight other point-of-view-pushers... Chatting, trolling, fighting other trolls, vandalizing and fighting other vandals... that's what all the repected editors do...

And at IMDb? No vandals, no self-important, incompetent assholes endlessly creating, changing, interpreting and re-interpreting their own rules... just submit your information with back-up sources and people with actual authority approve it or reject it... I should have made the move to IMDb long ago.

But, in Boobpedian news: The gorgeous Tamaki Yasuoka has a new DVD release, code name: WZA-04. She can be seen at the top of this post. Tamaki-san reports in her blog that she and lovely Mei Asaki had a wine date a couple weeks ago. See the picture below Ms. Yasuoka above for Asaki-san. Put me between those four... er, two... with a little scotch instead of the wine, and you've got the stuff that Dekkappedlian dreams are made of...

And, beating all the odds, Bon-Bon Cherry has finally released a decent screenshot to DMM. Take a look at the layout presented in their DVD Bomc-032:

Bomc-032
... and with that, I wish you soft, warm, squishy, pleasant dreams...

Boin Box series now up-to-date

Flopped out a quintuple o' quicklies this A.M.-- BOBB-107-111. Noticed another editor had started an article for Akina right before I logged on, so I added a filmography consisting of the two stubs on DVDs of hers I started yesterday. It's good to see other people interested in these subjects. I added some more data to the Oppai label in the afternoon, then finished the Boin Box series project in the evening-- up to #119, Boin "Miina Kanno" Box 2: Breast Slave Breast Fetish. (Pictured on the right, as if to show that good old-fashioned S&M is not dead.) Working through the Boin Box series #54-119-- 65 DVDs-- proved to easier than expected. Yesterday was the only full day of editing work devoted to it-- and that was about 3 hours in the morning, then I just flopped out 2-5 at a time the rest of the day while waiting for coffee to brew, son to finish homework, when I could duck away from the TV during that lousy movie, or whatever few minutes I could spare. All the real work-- the info-gathering-- was done in my 30-minutes afternoon sessions during the week-- and only two of those...

40 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the daytime, an hour or two at night on weekdays, and about three hours on a weekend to start 65 articles in a week. So, all-in-all, if time is allocated efficiently, the Wiki-work doesn't have to be a time-consuming hobby. It gets to be time- and energy-draining, and destructive when you allow in large groups of "editors" who are fundamentally opposed to the goals or subject of the Wiki (read, Wikipedia "Deletionists" and Admins) to turn it all into one big debate / argument / bureaucratic farce. Wikipedia's figurehead, Jimbo Wales, once claimed WP aspired for "The sum of human knowledge", which is an "Inclusionist" statement if ever there was one. Yet he has allowed the project to be hijacked by people whose sole goal at WP is to remove sourced material they don't want to see. BP, to its credit, has only two administrators, and both of those are in favor of the subject of the project. When one of them deletes something, there is no need to worry if there is some hidden agenda behind it, because they have shown that they are completely in favor of BP's goals. Moreover, the subject of the project is stated clearly and not open for endless "Wikipedia is not..."-type debates: The subject is boobs (well, "big" boobs, C-cup or above-- I'd quibble with that limitation, preferring boobs, just plain old boobs, period. But since this was stated plainly and clearly when I joined up, I have no problem accepting that.) WP's ever-increasing exclusion criteria-- at a project claiming to aim for "the sum of human knowledge"-- are all mob-made, changeable, subjective, open to interpretation, and based on a shell-game sham version of "consensus". There are Wikipedia administrators who are quite open-- both on and off Wikipedia-- in expressing their contempt for both the "community" and the goals of the project. And these thugs-- seen as "hardliners"-- get the most respect at Wikipedia. It's got so bad now that a subject's ethnicity and family background are considered inappropriate information in a biography. What a Godawful, hopeless mess that site is! It is now, officially, totally useless.

Anyway... That was fun working through those 65 DVDs and updating that series, but I'm hankering to get back to my lovely BBWs now. Of course, I should probably start a few stubs on the new Boin Box actresses first though... (at left, Yui-chan from PCHA-013 beckons, "Dekkappai-san! Come back to where your heart is! Enough of skinny girls in handcuffs! Start an article for meeee!!!" Coming, Yui-chan, darling, coming, coming, coming...)

Thanks for the Ball-Kicks, Will Hays!

I'm starting this blog to record my progress on Japanese (and other Asian) articles at Boobpedia, write down passing thoughts related to that work, thoughts for future work, thoughts and activities only tangentially related to it, and totally unrelated stuff as it may arise in my ramblings. We'll see if this develops into anything fun. If it stops being fun, it stops...

At Boobpedia tonight I started working on bringing the JAMS New Sexy Zone series DVD articles up to date. Started three of them. The new site I found a couple days ago-- Fetish World-- has "synopses" in "English" (emphasis on the scare quotes). Paraphrased they usually say something like "Huge Tits Heckuva Big-ass goddess bouncy on incompetent man! Sucking, fucking and much paizuri!" It's kind of fun spinning this out into faux-sophisticated prose. I have in mind the long-winded, ornate style of the jokes in Playboy behind the centerfold. '60s cool-cat, pretentious twit, obsessed with T&A. (Not much of a stretch for me there, I admit.) I managed to get a little of that into Wikipedia. (I once referred to an actress' genitals as her "nether regions" in an article... some humorless twit changed it of course, probably citing some crackpot policy...) The magnificent Rei Tachibana (pictured at right) was the star of one of the DVD articles: Steamy Huge Boobs! Breast Therapy (or Perfervid Mega-Bazongas! Boobs Therapy to take the Fetish World translation... actually, I prefer that one myself... November 2010). It tells the inspirational story of a large, busty woman (Tachibana, again type-cast in this role) who uses her body to invigorate her clients. Not much of a plot, perhaps, but a simple and direct story that needed to be told. Rei Tachibana has a bit of a half-Asian-looking face, though I've never seen it mentioned that she was not pure Japanese. Gorgeous woman either way.

After the night's editing, I watched a Mill Creek 50 Comedy Kings film-- Goodbye Love (1933) starring Charlie Ruggles. Pretty dull, but, being pre-Hays Code, had a couple enjoyably risque touches. One was Ruggles speaking on the phone to his large, BBW, alimony-demanding ex while she is in the bathtub. Ruggles later addresses her as "my little dromedary". 1933 being in the blessed time before camel-toe pants-- before plumber's ass-crack became a fashion statement-- he can only be addressing her two prominent, large and bouncy fore-humps, which, unless my weak eyes and hyper-active imagination deceive me, we had a fairly good look at in the bathtub... In another scene, Ruggles is walking on the beach, and is stopped by an outraged yelp from a large woman buried in sand. Ruggles is standing where her crotch should be located, and says, "Oh dear! I seem to have put my foot in it!" then leers at the camera. "It" being, one can only presume, the woman's cunt. One more year, and Hays would specifically ban foot-in-cunt jokes... One can only dream of what heights of pudenda-related Tom-foollery US cinema might have reached if not for Hays, in the later '30s, '40s and '50s when even the faintest whiff of genitalia, much less the insertion of a foot into them, was banned from Hollywood's output. And what a loss that is...

Imagine a Harpo Marx free to grab a butt-cheek and a boob or two once he's caught a fine specimen out of that endless stream of blonds he was always chasing... Imagine Larry telling Moe to go fuck himself, and receiving a sharp kick to the groin in return. In fact, had Moe been free to kick his cohorts in the balls, maybe Hollywood would have got the gratuitous ball-kicking out of its system back in the '40s and we wouldn't have to suffer through it in the theater today. Who knows? It worked with the ass-kick.

Take a look at Tillie's Punctured Romance (1914). Here it is at the Internet Archive. Ass-kick, ass-kick, ass-kick. Ass-kick-o-rama. Not an ass appears on screen unless that ass is soon to be kicked. And these ass-kicks are totally at random, without motivation. An ass is kicked simply because it's there... We're told in the history books that this movie made money. In fact it was a huge hit, and a milestone in cinema. But what is left out of the books is that it seems to have rung the death knell for the easy, cheap-laugh that the ass-kick offered comedians. Oh, I'm aware that comedic ass-kicking lingered on through the rest of the 1910s and even rears its head occasionally to this day, but the ass-kick's power to thrill audiences in-and-of-itself had lessened once Sennett dropped 82 minutes of non-stop ass-kicking action on the theater-going public with Tillie. And, except for the occasional well-thought-out ass-kick, the ass-kick with something socially relevant to say (for example, when Laurel and Hardy use ass-kicking as just one step in the escalation of violence in the hilarious closing scene of sidewalk mayhem in You're Darn Tootin', 1928), it's pretty much fizzled out since then. Ball-kicking, on the other hand, like foot-in-cunt jokes, was stifled by that prude Hays, and not allowed to play out naturally, and to eventually be overtaken by more evolved schtick. So the primitive old gratuitous blow-to-the-balls lingers with us in today's cinema, long after its natural time period has passed... Sort of like a gag version of the rhinoceros. Or the coelocanth... And we, the audience, suffer the consequences... Thanks a lot, Will Hays...

God damn all holier-than-thou prudes and censors! God damn 'em to Hell-- or send them Hell's online equivalent: Wikipedia. We keep imagining the human race progresses, but we will never be free from the evil forces of self-important bigotry. Anyone who doubts that need only edit anything slightly controversial or slightly out of the Anglo/WASP-mainstream at Wikipedia. Yank aside the fig-leaves of "notability", "reliability", etc., and you have the same old elitist censorship which kept Edgar Rice Burroughs and L. Frank Baum out of libraries a couple generations ago. (At right, Rei Tachibana returns to give the censors what they deserve.) At least those censors, as hired librarians, had some authority. Wikipedia's censors, while refusing "Original Research" or much anything else from its contributors-- even if they are actual authorities in their area-- have given themselves authority to censor-- by removing sourced information which doesn't meet the rules they created. Wikipedia could have been a great populist encyclopedic project... among other things, a compendium of interesting pop-culture trivia useful for future generations. But that's not respectable enough for the elitist prudes. As always, they've got to save the masses from what the masses want. They-- the prudes-- know what is better for everyone else. So Jimbo Wales allowed the self-appointed, self-important elitist blow-hards to take over, and now Wikipedia aspires to be, at best, a pale imitation of a print encyclopedia. One which will never have any authority whatsoever... but which will have humanity's largest recorded discussion on what some uninformed, arrogant semi-literates think an encyclopedia should be. What a crime.

And with that rant, I wipe the spittle off my chin and stumble off to watch something tonight... a Spaghetti western maybe?...
