Birthday boys, Bach & Meyer

Yesterday was the birthday of two of my all-time heroes.  For some reason, I never knew they were born on the same date. First, Johann Sebastian Bach. The world without him would be considerably less joyful, but his work is outside the subject areas of this blog. However, the second: the great American auteur Russell Albion Meyer, was an enormous fan of one of the prime subjects of this blog: enormous boobs.

I was fortunate enough to see Mr. Meyer on a few occasions. First, at a showing of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, with Roger Ebert. Second and third at a small theater near my old apartment in L.A. The theater-owner was friends with Meyer, and would occasionally run a Meyer retrospective with the master in attendance, always accompanied by a few of his buxom starlets. I remember Haji and Kitten with him one time. He and Pandora Peaks sat in the row right behind me another time... I didn't even realize they were there until a twin shadow floated over my head, I turned around and saw it was Pandora standing up. I think this was the time they had women in the audience come up on stage so Meyer could pick the honorary "Russ Meyer girl" of the evening...

Another time, there was a rare Meyer film being shown-- The Seven Minutes, I think-- which I really wanted to see, but I had a previous appointment. I went in to see just the first half hour, then had to leave. Mr. Meyer was standing in the lobby talking with the theater owner. When he saw me leaving, he muttered, "Idiot!" I went over to explain the situation, and he shook my hand and said, "Well, don't be late!"

One of these days I'll have to post a more thorough appreciation of Meyer's work. But for tonight, let's just leave it off with a Happy Birthday to one of America's great eccentric artists, and a man who clearly enjoyed his work.

I'm still transferring the Pink Film archives over to Tumblr, and have been adding a few new JAV series to the JAV archive when able-- mostly transferring old Boobpedia work. I'll have to start adding these to IMDb too... It occurs to me that the whole reason I'm moving the archives over to Tumblr is not because of posting difficulties, but because of image limitations... and if I'm hosting those images at Tumblr, and if posting between the two services is simply a matter of copy & pasting... and if Blogger has MUCH better searching capabilities... then I might as well keep maintaining the Blogger Archives too... As a matter of fact, several times I've tried to find a Pink Film poster at Tumblr, and found it impossible, given up, and searched at Blogger and found it in a split second. So I've been wondering if I should just post the HTML code linking to the Tumblr image, both here at Blogger and at Tumblr at the same time... I experimented with this idea last night on the Ruby Bomb (BOMD-) series, and it just added very, very little more time to the posting process, since the code is almost identical. The only real adjustment I had to make was to resize the image at Blogger before posting, and that just takes two clicks.

I think I've got my pace in the work at Tumblr now. Followers of this blog should also enjoy my JAV archive there, which will be my main work this year. Since I'm specializing on busty/BBW releases only-- rather than all releases, as with the Pink Film archives-- there will be more there to feast your eyes upon. Yesterday I uploaded dozens of new JAV covers in record time, and then posted the entries for them. Mainly I worked on the Kyonyû etsuraku (巨乳悦楽) series.

Then, almost as an afterthought, at the end of the day I did the Pocharinko (ぽっちゃりパラダイス　ぽちゃりん娘) series, which I had posted at Boobpedia in 2008, when it was new. I'm finding that it's now very difficult to find images and/or information on several of the videos I worked on back in those days, spurring me on to preserve more of our JAV BBW heritage in these blog pages... I should finish Kyonyû etsuraku tonight, then maybe upload some more series images, and finish the night off by transfer-posting more to the Pink Film Archive. Still a long way to go, and a lot of reformatting to do, in the Pink Film work. I'm merging the two Archives into one at Tumblr, requiring a lot of date-change work.

Ren Nagasawa: TDPP-06

In a post this same month last year I promised a more in-depth look at one of the rarest and loveliest BBWs I've come across: Ren Nagasawa. This girl just entrances me-- I could stare into that face, for hours. Her figure is just the way I like them too. Altogether, she's got the kind of earthy, plain look that I've always loved. I've never been attracted to the glamour-pusses...

Tonight we'll review one of her DVDs in which Ren-chan favors us with a look at much more than just that lovely face. Chubby Paradise: Pocharinko vol. 6: Ren Nagasawa (Pocchari paradise: Pocharinko vol.6: Nagasawa Ren) is the sixth volume in Pocha-Bara / Angela's Pocharinko series. It was released in November 2007 when Ren-chan was 20 years old. Not being fluent in Japanese, and not living in the country, it's difficult to figure out how these AV companies and personnel relate to each other. In a post in September last year glancing over the second five videos in the Chubby-Chubby Heaven series, we came across the BBW director using the name Shin'ichi Saiga (才賀真一), which we suspect to be an alias of Jun'ichi Natsui, the pioneering BBW photographer on whose career I tried to find information in the first post on that series. Shin'ichi Saiga is the director of this video.

Ren-chan stands a compact 154 cm (5'1⁄2") with a 125-100-115(cm) / 49-39-45(in) figure, sporting a Japanese J-cup bra. She weighs a solid 98 kg (216 lb), and special mention is made in publicity of her 72-cm (28 inch) thighs. Being a leg man (among other things), I can't resist taking a close look at these assets, above, and they are gorgeous.

Her eyes are also mentioned for their "exotic" beauty. As much a fan of Asian femininity as I am, I can't see how Ren-chan's eyes are any more exotic than other Asian eyes (and the "exoticism", of course, is part of the attraction to me). My wife always complains about her "small" Asian eyes, and smirks at Asian actresses/models who have that kind of an eye shape. (But those are the most attractive ones to me, of course!) So perhaps Ren's eyes have a slightly larger, Western look to them? It doesn't seem so to me, but then I'm not Asian...

The video is quite simple, but pleasingly so. It's not just a straight series of sex scenes-- boom-boom-boom. It's more like a sexy day with a lovely lady. It starts out with Ren-chan smiling coyly at us and posing in the garden. We move into the house, where she gradually and shyly disrobes for us. I always find this to be fascinating-- a plump, plain-looking lady slowly revealing her charms. This takes up the first twenty-or-so minutes of the video.

The next five minutes have Ren-chan disrobing again, this time in a Japanese onsen. She's more confident this time, undresses faster, and flashes us a little more nudity bit by bit, even showing us some crotch this time-- scrambled with pixels, naturally.

Ren-chan gets still a little more adventurous in the next section, chatting in her robe with a gentleman, and then allowing him to disrobe her and play with her body. It's hard to tell who is enjoying this more, since Ren-chan giggles and laughs very pleasingly throughout.

In the penultimate scene, Ren-chan goes as far as she's going to go here. She has sex with her male partner from the previous scene. In keeping with her rather innocent persona (at least in this video), it's all very mild and conservative, nothing very extreme at all. And that's just fine with me.

The video concludes with a bathing scene. Ren-chan's partner oils her up and washes her off in the tub, and Ren-chan bids her viewers a sweet and happy good-bye.

I liked this video a lot. The main feature, as always in these AVs, was the actress, Ren Nagasawa. I find her irresistible: Cute, slightly shy, chubby, and well-padded everywhere I like. Besides that, the video has a humble, straight-forward simplicity. No fake distorting lenses. No constant zooming. No incest fantasies. No ropes & bondage or sado-masochism. Just a sweet-looking, young girl flirting shyly, showing some nudity to the viewer, and engaging in a mild sex scene before showering off. Perhaps it's too tame for some viewers, but for those like me who really just want to look at the girl, I recommend this video highly.

Oh, just one more thing. Given our ass-fixation this week, I suppose you're all wondering one thing: What does her butt look like? Well, dear reader, take a good look above!

Remembering Ren

Two new IMDb submissions went fully live today: Ijô-sei hantaa: Seifuku nerai (1978) and Maruhi nikutai chokyôshi (1978). In the evening I went browsing and came across this useful list at AV-Channel last night. It is a listing of AV idols who weigh more than 100kg. Though it is rather outdated, and seems to focus mainly on the Pocha Pocha Princess Pretty series, it is still a good survey of these actresses, and a reminder of old favorites not thought of for a while. One of these is Ren Nagasawa, the lovely lady seen adorning today's post. Though she seem to have only appeared in a couple original videos, which were then mined for excerpts for compilation videos, her earthy good looks, and her 72-cm (28 inch) thighs deserve a more in-depth look later on.
