The Video
Since this week saw the creation of
Fuko's IMDb page, thanks to your humble contributor, for this week's video review, let's take a close look at a DVD starring this icon of Japanese bustiness. Under consideration tonight is
All Nude: Fuko (OAE-038, March 2009), which-- not coincidentally-- now also has
its own IMDb listing.

This DVD occupies a special place in the heart of the Fuko fan. She had debuted as a gravure model in March 2007, two years before the release of this DVD. She spent her first two years in the public eye making nothing but teasing, non-nude, bikini-clad gravure DVDs, and appearances in Japanese mainstream media to promote them. Needless to say, all her follwers were all blue-balled for some actual nudity. Then, February 2009, she went too far in the other direction. She debuted as a JAV porn actress, making full sex scenes, and souring innocent image for many fans who just wanted to see some nudity. Then, after three pretty run-of-the-mill hardcore JAVs for Muteki, came this video for
Air Control. Seemingly, this is just what her longtime fans had wanted ever since her debut two years earlier.

The Content (Warning: Spoilers!)
The work under consideration begins with a three-minute preview of Fuko in a field as the camera zooms around her, and images of up-coming nude scenes tease the viewer on. Next she comes into the bathroom to brush her teeth, and primp in front of a mirror. This is followed by Fuko in a slip with cuts to various degrees of slowly progressing boob-exposure. The next section has her in a beaded costume, again, gradually exposing more and more boobage through camera cuts.

At about 17 minutes in, Fuko is outside in a mock wedding-dress inspired outfit, out of which her mammaries proceed to flop out into public view. Amusingly, when images of this scene first leaked to the Web, they caused some panicky rumors that Fuko had married and was therefore leaving the public eye.

At about 24 minutes into the video, she is in a cabin in a leather outfit and high heels. After about six minutes of this, she's in a nice full-length dress which exposes some cleavage. FINALLY, at about half-way through the video, she lives up to the video's title by suddenly becoming
all-nude. Unfortunately, an opportunity for disrobing, teasing, stripping is lost since the nudity is another cutaway. She's clothed, and then,
boom, she's nude... Not that nudity is a disappointment, but it could have been anticipated, teased, and built up to.

After this brief session, she is in bed in a negligee which she removes, and then poses nude. First of all, this scene benefits from her actually disrobing. In other words, she finally stops just posing and actually
DOES something. Once she's in bed nude, she's back to posing seductively. Here she giives us some of my favorite images in the video so far. Just look above, and imagine having
THAT waiting for you to hope into bed!

A shower follows. There is no music here, and hearing the actual shower gives a touch of realism, which is a nice change of pace from what has until now been all dreamy posing with nonstop background music. Post-shower we get some very nice views of her standing, first trying in vain to cover that massive bust with one arm, while keeping her crotch hidden with the other hand. Her boobs are just too big to hide, and I find her effort to do so very attractive.

About 52 minutes into the video, she's outside again in a somewhat Balinese-looking garb. For only the second time in the video, she goes all nude in this scene-- with her pubic area hidden from view, of course. A self-jelly-massage follows this section. She starts in a bikini, but becomes fully nude once she's lying in a tub. We even get a brief view of her muff in this section which is nice. She poses nude outside again, and for one, very brief moment she shakes her boobs a little. That brief, shining moment points out the main thing lacking in this video: Movement! Let's see her
DO something! Run. Jump. Shake! Bounce!

Next she's back in bed, fairly motionless again, though this is probably my favorite scene. First, we again get to see her actually do something: Take off her top. I've always found a woman disrobing to be very exciting, and I could play this brief bit in slo-mo for my own satisfaction. She then gives us some very beautiful views of her boobs, lying in bed, looking seductive. This brief bit ends the official 70 minutes of the video. The DVD concludes with ten minutes of extra material: outtakes, and on-the-set filming.

The Opinion
JustMeMike's site was one of the few that used to review gravure DVDs. It seems to be down now, but I have his review saved. He gave this DVD his highest rating, due to the long-wanted non-hardcore nudity, but he still complained about Fuko's apparent joylessness in the production. He blamed this on Fuko herself, whom he felt was just going through the motions for a paycheck, and that she was having no fun modeling anymore. I sympathize with the unexpected lack of joy in this DVD, but I have to disagree on whose fault this is. Fuko shows in the outtakes that conclude the video that she's just as cute and giggly as we remember her from the gravure years. But when the camera starts rolling, laughing Fuko suddenly becomes stone-faced. I think that the bland countenance she shows throughout the video is not a reflection of her own mood, but a choice on the director's part. The video tries to give off a cooly erotic, sultry, and artsy look, and I think he wants Fuko to show a cool, smouldering look too. It is partly her fault that she isn't good enough an actress to pull that off. It's just not her character. Apparently trying to look maturely sexy, she just comes off as bored and distant. But I blame the director more, for not realizing he was working against Fuko's natural gifts, and trying to force her to do something she was incapable of.

She moves very little throughout-- and this is no doubt due to the director. The whole thing seems kind of anesthetic and lifeless, and it's not Fuko's fault. She seems to do just what it required of her-- stand fairly motionless and pose. The only motion is the camera floating around and exposing her body, making it just a moving picture book. There is no speaking, and, except for one short section, the whole thing is accompanied by bland pop music. In her gravure years, and even in her less-popular AV years, Fuko's fans enjoyed the cute, girlish enthusiasm she brought to her work. In fact she does flash a few nice, warm smiles, giving us just a brief glimpse of that charming personality that helped to make her popular during her gravure days. But there's really nothing she can do here other than that, since the director just has her stand still.
Final Verdict
Model: If you like big-boobed Asian girls, Fuko's your gal. Supernaturally busty, she is the Golden Standard: Highest rating. (She's sometimes categorized under BBW, and in that category she's pretty low, since she's all boob. No butt, slim legs, average face, kind of a pot-belly. Not really a BBW-admirer's cup of tea at all.)
DVD: High, but not as high as it could have,
should have been. The director gives us plenty of good photography, and a good survey of Fuko's landscape, but he seems to have intentionally restricted the bubbly joy which is usually a big part of the enjoyment of a Fuko performance
