Bad news... great boobs...

...bad news for this blog: I finally got my computer guy to replace the power board on my external hard drive... the power board took, but the hard drive needs to be re-formatted, meaning I'll lose all my data (videos, images, data collected, and writing written during the past year and a half)... there is possibly good new though: I used a data recovery program to look at the disk, and it seems possible to recover a lot of the data... the problem is, I don't have another 4-terrabyte disk to recover that data to, before reformatting the old one... maybe I'll get one for Christmas... in the meantime, here's some tits... (this pair belongs to lovely, gorgeous, beautiful, bespectacled Rin Fujisaki, now a Twitter acquaintance of mine)... enjoy!

Disaster in Dekkappai-land

The last day of my vacation has turned out to be a total disaster... One those computer disasters that seems to strike regularly has just struck again, and this could be a big one. My beloved 4-terrabyte hard disk suddenly stopped working this morning. The power board seems to have gone out. The computer shop said they might be able to put the disk into a new box, with a 50-50 chance of saving the data... That means all my images, movies, research, etc. obtained over the past couple years could be lost. I still have my older stuff saved on my old computer, but that's all pretty obsolete now. Also, I've saved a lot online through my Pink Film blogs... but still, this could be a major loss... Just now I went to look for a good image to illustrate this post-- maybe Sara Aikawa sitting on a guy's face, representing the Dekkappai version of fate crushing down on me, like the giant foot dropping from the sky and splatting some poor slob in Monty Python-- but then I realized... I have no images to upload! I'm back to ground zero! I have nothing! Zilch! Nada!

I hadn't really planned on posting tonight, but the disastrous disk event has caused considerable reflection on my part, as you can imagine... literally thousands of hours worth of work may be lost... Unless my computer guy can restore the disk later in the week, I may have to re-think my very online existence... Maybe I'll just report what catches my eye on Twitter now... because I've lost the huge backlog of Pink & BBW images and information that I accumulated over the years. Maybe I'll just devote more time to offline off-computer work like... This kind of thing can sure shake one's faith in the reliability of electronic media, and make one lose one's enthusiasm for contributing to it...

And so we have an image-less post tonight, and I don't know if I want to do any more... I'm pretty loaded up on whiskey right now, and feeling pretty negative about the whole computer world... data, blogging, tweeting.. the whole thing... My old friend Kmrt & I had a talk about Kôji Wakamatsu this morning... maybe I'll watch one of his films I haven't seen, and then call it a night...

On Vacation / Computer Trouble & Ishida-san from Shiro Usagi

Miss Ishida from Shiro Usagi
Just a quick note: I'm on vacation until next week. I've been watching a few of the Pink/Roman Pornos I've acquired recently, and enjoying them very much. I've done some IMDb work-- including finishing 1997 and starting 1998 Pink film releases. I also submitted all of Kimiko Matsuzaka's known AV work, and these are gradually appearing on her IMDb page now. There are also several new bust/BBW DVD releases to discuss, and I'll have a DVD review later on.
But to tide us over until I can concentrate on the blog again, here are some pictures of a lovely lady from Shiro Usagi-- Miss Ishida (石田嬢). Her profile lists her as 42 years old, 158cm tall, with measurements 120(K)-74-110cm.
She looks a lot like Usagi Minagi to me, but I have no evidence that this is indeed her. Usagi-chan's measurements are similar, but her height (145cm) and age (currently 32) are very different. Ishida-san is a lovely eyeful whoever she is.

April 5, 2014: I'm off vacation, but my cheapo replacement computer has crashed. I'll get back to the blog as soon as I've got a workable computer at home.

New Computer Disaster / Updates While Offline [June 6 - July 9, 2013]

(I'll group all my offline posts here, rather than create a bunch of non-image, non-JAV related posts...)

June 6, 2013 - It looks like this blog is going to be down for a while again. Since the Great Interface Disaster of November 2012, when I had to abandon work on my old system, I've been working on a second-hand laptop I got cheap. That one has been teetering on the edge of crashing for about a month... and now it seems to finally be dead. I have one more DVD review post, with all images ready to go... That one will be dated June 4, and I'll post it Monday or Tuesday, after I've finished writing it... After that, the blog will be image-less and therefore post-less until I can get a new computer... which could be a while... So, for now, I'll be back to working on IMDb full-time during the hour or two a day that I've got computer access. Anyone is free to post replies, or to email me during that time, as I will be able to give text replies sporadically... I look forward to coming back to this blog as soon as possible!

June 8, 2013 - I've been taking advantage of my home computer crash to do some Pink Film poster  work that I've had in mind for quite a while. On my old, Windows 1998 system, I'm able to scan and edit images, so I've been scanning posters from a Japanese Pink poster book I've had for a few years. They're coming out quite nicely. Many of them are very obscure Pink films from the '60s, which I can't even find listed in Japanese databases. I haven't quite figured out how I'll post them to the Pink Film blog, without at least the release year... But I'll upload them somehow eventually... After that, I plan to go through a few articles from Adam Film World that I got in the late '70s / early '80s, which have articles on Pink Film / Roman Porno / Toei Pinky Violence, including at least one I remember of Naomi Tani. Those articles have plot descriptions and images / stills which might be in good enough condition for scanning and uploading... Another task I may do while offline is to finish up the plot synopses of the Pink films I viewed on IMDb a month or two ago, and then post them to IMDb...

June 11, 2013 - During my week offline, I got pretty far behind on my IMDb inputting schedule. Not only did I miss a week's worth of inputting, I lost a few days worth of translating that I had only saved on the now-inaccessible hard-disk. I caught up on the lost translation work, and started submitting films yesterday... I did get a lot of scanning done, finishing all the '60s / early '70s Pink film posters in the book Generation Sex. The bad thing about this book is that it often gives only a close-up / crop of one part of a poster, and offers no release data -- not even year of release-- for the films. Among many good things (besides beautiful color images) is it gives both Japanese and English translations of the titles and personnel, and also for the taglines on the posters. I submitted a couple of those interesting cultural artifacts to IMDb over the week, such as Kinjirareta Technique (1966 - "A portrait of sad suffering humanity caught in the whirlwind of the passions!"), and Iro zange (1965 - "The she-leopard burns with boundless desire!")... Yesterday I started scanning the Nikkatsu Roman Porno B&W stills in the book Roman poruno joyû (ロマンポルノ女優 - Roman porno actresses).

June 13, 2013 - My scanning of Roman poruno joyû (ロマンポルノ女優 - Roman porno actresses) continues on schedule... A few things dawn on me in re the computer / image uploading problem: Since I've already uploaded all the Pink film posters to my other blogs, I can copy the code into this post to provide some illustrations, even if it is not in the usual BBW-interest. Second: I can probably start transferring, slowly, by means of floppy disk, some of these new scans into the Pink film blogs... That won't be possible for this blog, for which I rely mostly on newer material-- either snapped from videos by myself, or re-posted from other sites/blogs...

Madame Caligula (1981)
Slave Wife (1976)
June 19, 2013 - I reached a major milestone in my Pink Film studio filmographies yesterday: I finished translating the OP Eiga filmography, which was the last major one I hadn't done. I guess the next step is to start making a more thorough compilation of the wild west days of the Pink Film genre: The 1960s. By the '70s, when Nikkatsu took over, there were only four or five true Pink film studios left, and I've got more-or-less complete lists of their output now. In the '60s, though, there were probably hundreds of Pink Film studios, some of which produced only one film then went out of business... I finished scanning Roman poruno joyû (ロマンポルノ女優 - Roman porno actresses) last night, and started looking through my old Adam Film World clippings on Pinky / Roman Porno films that had played in the US during the '70s and '80s... I took information from these articles and submitted a couple English titles (which, I assume, were the titles under which they played in the US), and cast and character names to Naomi Tani's Slave Wife (1976) and Maiko Kazama's Madame Caligula (1981) to IMDb this morning...

July 9, 2013 - Big news for the blog: I managed to get my computer working again a couple weeks ago. This happened right on the cusp of a trip out of town, during which I would have very limited Internet access. I used that time to catch up on Pink Film poster downloads, and I spent yesterday uploading a few of the posters with new film entries to the Pink Film blogs. But starting today-- New posts here!

New Interface Disaster Update #2

Jesus Christ what GARBAGE this new Blogger interface is! I've just spent 15 minutes trying to OPEN A WINDOW to write a post!

Anyway, Here's a new update: I have made my first tentative steps into the 21st century-- I got the house wired for cable/wi-fi Internet last weekend. Now I've got Internet on the TV-- and I am starting to see what I've been missing-- been watching all kinds of stuff on Youtube and other sites, including Pink-related things like Koji Wakamatsu clips, the JAMS streaming video samples, etc. On the other hand, I now have absolutely no Internet connection on the old computer.

For now, I have been doing a lot of offline work: Cleaning old Pink film poster images I've had for years but haven't got around to fixing up and posting, scanning some Pink film poster images from books and magazines in my collection, doing work on the Pink film studio filmographies, etc.

Once I get a new computer system, and get all my research transfered over, I'll be able to get back into the swing of things, posting here and submitting to IMDb. Of course, if this Blogger interface works as badly on the new system as it does on this computer, I am still going to move sites. Because of the difficulty in getting window to open, and in typing in it, it has now taken me 25 minutes to type a simple text post. GARBAGE!

New Interface Disaster Update

I've been keeping this blog up-to-date offline, and continuing my Pink Film Archive work on the other two blogs. Using the new interface just on these two image-archive blogs to copy information and identify images has convinced me though: The new Interface is an utter, unmitigated disaster, and I don't want to use it if/when I am able to at home. It is slow and clumsy, and not just because I am unfamiliar with it. With the old interface, I could identify and label 30-40 poster images in half an hour. After familiarizing myself with it, using it for a week, I am able to go through about 5 images in a half hour. Most of that time is spent waiting for pages to load. Typing or clicking anything is SLOOOWWW. The "Preview" feature now, completely unnecessarily, opens in a new page, which takes about a quarter minute to load on a new, state-of-the-art computer. (In the old interface I could see a preview instantaneously even on my 15-year-old clunker at home.) Also, unbelievably, the interface is not even ready for public presentation. I see obvious bugs which are worked out a few days later, presumably after enough of us guinea pigs squawk. The incompetents who foisted this on the public did not do even basic testing first... It is absolutely reprehensible that this garbage should be forced on us when a workable-- if clunky-- interface was already in place, and is still perfectly usable, but is refused as an option. The blog still LOOKS the same, so there was absolutely no reason not to allow use of the old interface. Anyway, I am looking for a new Blog host site.

Per Boobpedian Honorable's suggestion, I am looking into Tumbler at the moment. If anyone else has any recommendations-- a free blog host with minimal java/razzle-dazzle garbage, and which allows adult content-- I will appreciate a recommendation. For now, expect to see this blog continued elsewhere eventually. I'll be sure to drop a note here, of course...

The New Interface Disaster

Last night, hoping to do some more Pink Film Archive work, I found that Blogger would not load. Then it dawned on me: They've been threatening for several months to make their atrocious new interface mandatory. And now they have. And now I cannot edit any of my blogs on my old home computer. So, another turning point is reached.

This inability to work on the Archives won't slow down my IMDb work, but it will mean I cannot work on the Pink film poster archives, or link them to IMDb. Fortunately, this disaster comes at about the best possible time that it could. I have just finished identifying all the Picasaweb images by copying the information from the pre-1990 poster blog, and I am in the final stages of submitting the information and the poster links to IMDb. A near-record 19 films entries were fully accepted today. That half of the Pink film project is roaring to a finish. The next step would have been to do the same with the 1990-and-later blog, but that will have to be put on indefinite hold... But I will continue contributing to IMDb, without focusing on the posters now. Straight text data.

Editing this blog has been a lot of fun, but I've always considered it fun & games, mainly done as a break from the real "work" (which is also fun & games, of course), the IMDb/Pink Film Archive projects. I could probably still post entries here at "Hail Hail, through an elaborate system of uploading images/posts through email to myself, then uploading them at other computers, but that would be a lot of bother, and would take time away from the IMDb/Pink Film projects. So unless I find a way of using a compatible version of blogger, or if/until I get a new computer, I will have to stop work here indefinitely. My home online work will be devoted to IMDb, and maybe a (long overdue) return to Boobpedia.

Now for the cranky old man to rant: I find the "improvements" being made to the Internet over the past few years to be grossly incompetent. I am reluctant to upgrade my 15-year-old computer system for the simple reason that-- other than video-- I can do many things on it faster and better than I can do on state-of-the-art systems. For one thing, I can type as fast as I want without waiting for a Java-script-bogged text editor to catch up to my fingers. I tend to type very quickly, in a stream-of-conscious manner, and go back and edit the result into something somewhat coherent. This is not possible, or extremely clumsy, on newer systems, but possible on my old, no-frills, notepad/wordpad. It is absolutely inexcusable that "upgrades" require the USER to slow down for the COMPUTER to catch up. But that is what the "Improvements" are-- all cosmetic flash & dazzle at the expense of real efficiency. Nothing really new is added-- it's still just text editing-- and the basic functions are slowed down and made more difficult to use. Google itself was once praised for its simple, sleek, efficient user interface, but it has been increasingly bogged down with needless crap. In short, I think the new interface, like all recent "upgrades" to be garbage.

Sorry there are no images of lovely ladies in this post, but it is literally impossible for me to upload from home now... Blogger has been "Improved" beyond usability... I hold out hopes that this problem will be overcome at some point in the future, but for now, reluctantly, this blog is stalled...
